So Im very new to this, just found out about it last night and im pretty eager about trying it out but I just have 1 question, where do I start?

1. Start Journal about dreams write anything down.
2. For about a week or two try too make sure you can at least remember a few dreams per night. If you already can remember then move on.
3. Come up with dream signs or basic setting to where your dreams take place , whos in them and the activity that you do.
4. Reality checks.. when dreaming look at your hands and see if there miss figured or blurred. also read text because text is also blurred in your dreams.
5. Relax stay calm and before going to bed.. Tell yourself I am going to lucid dream.

Welcome to dreamviews:D The most important thing is to keep a dream journal. I would start by writing down as many dreams as you can remember when you wake up in the morning. This will help you to build up your recall and then, once you remember a few dreams a night, begin working with some different lucid induction methods. If your sleep schedule allows I would also recommend WBTB or wake back to bed. The idea is that you wake up several times throughout the night and wright down any dreams you have had. This is a great way to remember many dreams a night. I have heard it is best to wake up 4 1/2 hours after you go to bed and then every 90min after that but after practicing for a while you will find what times are best for you. After practicing for a few weeks you will likely be able to stop using an alarm as you will have trained your body to wake up after each REM period which is extremely helpful. I'm still learning too, i'm sure some of the pros will have plenty of tips for you. Have fun lucid dreaming :)
Alright well I guess I just completed the first step, got me a journal!
Now I like that wake back to bed idea. I guess Ill set my alarm clock to 3:30 in the morning. But what other techniques are there for dreaming if I dont want to get disturbed during my sleep, lets say I have to wake up early in the morning and and I cant afford to wake up in the middle of my sleep. How can I give myself a better chance of dreaming that night and remembering it in the morning?

You should follow the other people's advice, keep a dream journal and such...
But you should always be aware of what is happening. Even when you are awake, question reality, and it will become habit while awake and asleep. To do this ask yourself things like "How did I get here?" "What am I doing?".

Write down your dreams as you wake becuase your brain will want to "OVER WRITE DREAMS"... so once u get ur paper and pencil , write down your dream and if you cant remember then Brain storm ideas that pop in your head or also write down your mood after awakening.
I hear a lot of people encourage getting some b vitamins before bed, perhaps from a banana or some apple juice to make your dreams more vivid. It is also helpful to practice a mantra before bed. This means repeating in your mind "I will remember my dreams" or something similar as you drift off to sleep. As your recall improves you can switch up your mantra to something like "I will realize I am dreaming." Remember we dream every night, so its just a matter of remembering our dreams. When you wake up lie completely still and keep your eyes closed. Focus on recalling your dreams until you start to get dreamflashes, then try to remember what led to that point in the dream or what happened afterwards. Make sure, more than anything, not to get discouraged. If you have bad recall one night, dont dwell on it, just know the next night you will remember all of your dreams. Good luck :)

yes vitamins in my own option i think help i take one everyday! i have great dream recall and vary detailed situations :)
Alright so I think I've made a nice plan for tonight. Gonna try to relax and go to bed repeating "I will remember my dreams" and "I am going to dream tonight" then set my alarm clock to 3:30. I have a journal right by my bed with a pencil so I as soon as I wake up Im going to keep my eyes closed trying to remember what I was dreaming about, then once Ive got it, slowly grab my journal and write it down. Sounds like a good plan to me.

I'd also recommend having a goal, or multiple goals, that you aim for in your lucid dreams. For example, something you want to do, or something you want to see, etc. One of my goals is to be able to fire energy from my hands, like in Dragonball Z, Naruto, stuff like that. You should pick something that you'll enjoy doing, and remember that almost anything is possible in lucid dreams. You just need to have confidence that you will do it.

Well I just woke up and I wrote about 3 things on my dream journal!!!! All 3 different dreams, 1 about my friend, one about a girl, and one about a test that I took on thursday and friday.
Only one I can actually remember is about this girl though, no idea what happened with that test or my friend lol
That's good, your recall will get better as you keep trying :). I'd recommend doing reality checks throughout the day as well, to build up a routine so that you start to do reality checks in your dreams. Also when you're doing your reality checks, don't just do them out of habit. You should be aware of what you're doing in them, and don't expect them to pass or fail.
