I agree that this sounds like it may be a sleeping issue - but have you tried any dream control techniques? They could be incredibly helpful in stabilizing your dreams, and also finding a heightened level of comfort and happiness within your dreams. I think that if you worked on being able to have more control over your dream world(s) you would be less apt to dislike having lucid dreams. The wiki area of this site is immensely helpful as far as tutorials on dream control goes - I highly suggest you check it out
