Well, it is a diese that makes you not dream (Unconfirmed fact) wich is very rare. But I think that it is your recall who are bad. When I started to practise lucid dreams, I had no recall at all the first few nights. After a while, I found on a forum that you can use mantras to improve your recall. I said the first few nights that I will remember my dreams. The result: I started to remember my dreams. After a few nights with mantras, I started to not use them( just to try.) The result: I could remember my dreams without mantras.( It was only fragments though.) After 2 weeks, I got my first dream that I rememberd almost all details. |

Your ability to recall dreams is not the best. Try lying completely still when you wake up and wait for the dreams to come to you. Don't think about anything and try not to fall asleep, but relax enough for your brain to think you are going to. You can try the mantras aswell. Good luck! |

I used to always have really good dream recall and as of late, since I've started my new job, this is how I've been waking up. Except, every night, before I go to sleep, I write in my agenda under daily goals to remember my dreams. Then I lay still when I wake up, as mentioned above, and let it come to me. I haven't been getting much but I have been remembering at least something most nights. I write it down in the agenda and then when I get home from work, write it in my DJ. Just a suggestion. Just tell yourself before you go to sleep that you will remember your dreams. Really focus on that thought as you drift off. I just have to write it down to really get it into my subconscious. Hope this helps with your recall, that's the first step into the world of lucid dreaming, after all. |

I know some of the extremists set alarm clocks to wake them while they sleeping so they can write down their dreams and therefore it builds recall, but I don't think this is a good idea because it makes you really tired, it can wake you during a lucid and it's hard to do (because of noise or sleeping partners whatever) |
