Recall will fluctuate a bit, so don't get discouraged if you couldn't remember a dream. Just look forward to your next opportunity. Not sure if this is a possibility for you, but setting alarms throughout the night is an easy way to remember multiple dreams a night. Set the alarms to correlate with your REM periods (try after 4 hours of sleep and 6 hours of sleep), wake up, and immediately write down your dreams.
