So, have you ever thought about putting roux on top of an unbaked cake and baking it?

this is rather random, but a few nights ago this is the only little shard of a dream I remembered... has anyone tried this before?? I am actually tempted to do so. Not with the liquid sort, but with the dried sort, you know. What do you think would happen? This could be my subconscious having random strokes of genius... :P

I say go for it, the worst-case is an odd tasting cake. :P
