Seeking advice...
I have been starting to remember bits and pieces of my dreams, usually one from one dream a night though. In my dreams are only the people that are directly in my life and very few people i dont know and thats what I want to change.
The reason why is because these couple of dreams have only made me upset...
I need to dream about other things, exciting things.
So if anyone has advice for me please let me in on what you know.
Thanks :?

Influencing/changing normal dreams can be very difficult indeed. Your normal dreams often reflect what is going on with you in real life. Things you think/worry about in real life can often show up in dreams because your dream are created by your own mind. You can try to think about specific subjects you want to dream about just before sleep and hope they carry over, or you try to sleep with headphones playing some sort of music that may cause you to dream a certain way. I a certain song reminds you of something, there is a good chance you could play that while you sleep and it'll possibly influence the dream. If something is bothering you in real life, you may just need to confront that problem in real life, otherwise your dreams may continue to be influenced. If you learn lucid dreaming however, you will be able to control who you want in your dreams. You can fly away to land no one knows you, etc. Hope I could help a bit. Good Luck to you!

Thank you very much for the advice! What you said makes total sense of why I dream the things I dream. Im definitely going to try to think about different things before bed to see if that helps. Hopefully I can have a lucid dream and remember how it came to be so I can keep doing it. It would really help me out to fly away to no one knows me land haha.
Mind if I ask you about your techniques in having lucid dreams? I see youve had a lot of them :shadewink:

Don't mind at all. First thing I would suggest (if you don't already) is keeping a dream journal. Just try and write down all the dreams you have in a notebook or here on the site. This will help keep your mind o n dreaming. I would also perform reality checks throughout the day. When I first started, I would make a mark (like a letter "D" for dream) or something on my hand. Every time I noticed it throughout my day, I would perform a reality check. You could also just set up instances when to perform them like, every time someone says your name, or every time you see an animal, etc. The key is to look around and think for instance, "What if I am dreaming right now...Am I dreaming?" Then perform the reality check and see if you are. Doing this in real life will lead to doing this in a dream as well. My favorite RC is the nose pinch, but you can use whatever you are comfortable with. I have a WILD technique you can check out. There is also a section on there called Dry Spell Killer, which could help you become lucid on any given circumstance. Here is the link: http://www.dreamviews.com/f79/yoshis...chnique-82529/ . Good luck and if you have any more questions just ask!
