Introduction
Good morning all,
My name is Zach. I figured I would stop in to give a quick introduction to everyone around here.
I am a 22 year old college student (soon to be graduate student, hopefully) in Colorado. I'm a Psychology major who hopes to go to graduate school for Clinical Neuropsychology next year. I'm very interested in how our brain works, which is I believe part of why I've become so interested in lucid dreaming.
About four years ago, I investigated lucid dreaming and even tried to undertake it, but I was a bit too stressed with familial, school, and relationship issues and ultimately stopped trying due to this. I also had not taken any sort of courses in the physiology of our brain or sleep. Since 2006, I've become more aware and interested in this field. I know about the theory behind lucid dreaming, but now I hope that my interest and drive will allow me to improve dream recall and ultimately experience a lucid dream. It's the application that I've really been stuck on in the past.
Please give me a shout if you want to chat. I look forward to my future experiences here.

Definitely check out lucid dreams. Dreams offer a window to the mind that is rarely explored.

:welcome: Welcome to DV!
There are some easy ways that you can start off, such as by doing reality checks or starting to keep a dream journal, both of which are easy. You should read the Reality Check Tutorial, the Dream Recall Tutorial, and the DILD tutorial, which are all good for beginners. Good luck! :)
