Question I have a question please try ur best to help

      Hey guys
I'm new to lucid dreaming and was talking with a friend and heard that if your in a lucid dream and you spin in circles it puts u in a deeper sleep and you can go into a coma is this true? I am also very frightened into thinking I won't know how to get out is there anyway to wake yourself from a lucid dream I also heard that if ur to fall while in a lucid dream you could die in ur sleep so I'm basicly wondering if this is a safe thing to do
      Thank you guys

No, spinning is just a technique used to change the dream sceen. no coma. and yeah you can wake yourself up out of a lucid dream. you know you are dreaming, it's not real, just try to physicaly sit up or move or somthing, thats how i do it. you can't die in real life if you die in a dream. it's very safe and very fun. actually it's the safest thing to do when you want to do the most dangerous things. leaping from building to buildin is fun in dreams but not in real life.

Mostly normal dreaming one can watch bizarre & crazy dream things, but still remain unaware that you are actually dreaming. Much of these dreams are left forgotten, unless someone tries to remember them on a regular basis.

In a lucid dream you are aware that you are consciously dreaming, and the experience can be quite vivid.

Spinning is used sometimes to keep the dream going a little longer if it starts to fade or you feel yourself waking up. Works for some people that way.

When someone first learns to lucid dream they may be excited and wake up suddenly too.

Keep dreaming and keep your mood light for now, do not worry as you slowly awaken to your dream-life.

It's easier than you think...when you at some point want to exit from a dream or lucid dream just close your eyes until you awaken and do a RC to check if you are really awake if it's isn't just close again. As for spinning it makes the dream abit longer but depending on state of mind at the time it can prolong for very long but when the dream drags for too long way beyond it's supposed to, your mind will feel strained to continue dreaming and you wake up.

Oh, lol, definitelly no. You'll not go into coma.

Spinning is a technique used by lucid dreaming to stabilize the dream, to anchor yourself with it, so you'll not wake up abruptly.

Usually, you can wake up from a lucid dream just by closing and opening your eyes (works for some people, others not). I belive our objective here is to not wake up from a lucid dream.

I usually exit a lucid dream when it gets nasty...rather than deal with a nightmare...

Ha, none of those are things you should worry about, they are just silly rumors made up by somebody.

Spinning is used to stabilize your dream, or reducing the chances of you waking up. It doesn't put you in a deeper sleep; if that were the case, you would just go into slow-wave sleep, which you experience throughout the night. Coma is only brought on by a severe injury or disease, not by dreaming.

When you want to wake up, just will yourself to wake up, like throwing a burst of energy through your brain so that it wakes up. It's much easier than you think.

And no, dream injuries, death, eating, &c, don't carry over into real life. Remember, this is all your imagination, the only difference is that you can experience the 5 senses while imagining it. The only way you can die while dreaming is if you have a sleep disorder called "REM behavior disorder", which is where sleep paralysis doesn't take place, so you act out your dreams. You want to jump out of a building? Sure, for normal people it is safe to do in dreams. People with RBD? They had better be having their lucky day, as they may jump out of their house. So, unless you have RBD, you will be fine. Besides, if you would know if you had it.

Welcome to DV, and good luck in your lucid dreaming!

      There's a thanks button, BTW.

Depending on the nightmare, if I turn lucid I'd rather travel to another dreamscene, usually it's not that hard

If somebody died because of something they did in a lucid dream, how we would know anyway?
