      Heya Raving. Welcome to DV.

This may be old Papa Velz being pragmatic, but the dream girl doesn't really "mean" anything. You have unknown people pop up in dreams all the time, both men and women. In this case, it was a woman and the plot of the dream was a romantic one. I think we've all been there, and we've all woken up wishing the girl was real (especially during a long dry spell).

However the reality is that while you dream your limbic system (the part of your brain that controls emotions) is lighting up like the evening parade at Disney. This has a definite effect on you; even though your dreams are not real, the emotions that you feel while in the dream ARE real, as in you are actually experiencing those emotions.

That can imbue dreams with a sense of importance or signifigance even after you wake up, as your brain really was going through those emotions of excitement and love and whathave you.

Sorry if that seems like kinda of a downer, but as I said I bet almost everyone on this site has been through it. Try to think of it as a really good, really involving romantic movie.

Well said. I have never had nothing like this.
Sounds like a very beautiful dream.

      I'm such a "lucky one". http://www.dreamviews.com/f60/10-05-...ulmate-105712/

I'm convinced that there are two possible reasons, why you dreamed that:

      1. As Velzhaed already told, it just some kind of coincidence. The dream plot was a romantic theme, nothing else.
      2. This dream reflects your need to fall in love. This doesn't mean that you are going to fall in love or so. No. Dreams reflects your subconscious. And this dream reflexes that deep inside yourself, you want to get loved. I know that this sounds like romantic garbage, but that was actually why I dreamed about this relationship.

Hi, dreams like that tend not to mean anything, probably just a remnant of something that you watched on television

It's really unlikely to dream exact the same, I'm sorry

Actually Raving I would say work on your lucid dreaming skills. In theory you could think "the girl is behind this door" and summon her to your dream the same way other people use that trick to conjure up old friends to chat with or movie stars to...well...you know how it goes.
