Sleep Paralysis and Immense Back Pain

Ever since I started attempting to induce Sleep Paralysis I have been sleeping on my back and since I have been doing that my lower back has been in IMMENSE pain. It literally feels like someone stabbed me, any movement at all and I am in pain. I didn't tweak it doing anything else and it started the same day I began this. I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this and if there are any other ways I can sleep to induce SP. I am very desperate right now, my back is throbbing at the moment.

Laying on your back is not necessary to get into SP, it is just easier for most people. In your case it obviously isnt and I would reccomend laying down however you are comfortable. Do you think that the pain is from the SP or just from laying on your back so much? If you think its from the SP then I really have no idea.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up for me. I thought it was necessary to get into SP. The pain is not from SP because I have yet to experience it, it is from laying uncomfortably for hours on end. I am most comfortable laying on my side, would I still be able to induce SP doing this?

Absolutely. Any inate advantage resting on your back might have on sp induction would definitely be negated by the back pain. Im pretty sure the whole point of it is that being on your back is more comfortable and less distracting for most people so just do whats comfortable.

Yea I've got into SP laying on my stomach, back and side. Do it in whatever position feels comfortable at the time.
Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.
