An Introduction and a few questions

Hey, the names Andy, you can call me Ydna, but Ydna is just Andy backwards. I've known about lucid dreaming for quite some time, but I never researched much about it. Until I came across a post on a forum talking about lucid dreams, and how to WILD. Ever since, I've been trying to WILD. Today was my first WBTB attempt, which didn't work out so great, but I'm gonna keep trying. Lucid dreaming is too intriguing to give up.

The first WILD attempt was very foggy, almost like it was me dreaming about WILDing. I remember trying it, waking up in a dream, knowing I'm lucid, and then waking up. It was all very blurry, and I disregarded it as a Lucid Dream. The next few nights, I've tried WILDing before any sleep, I can get to a motion feeling, maybe some vibrations, then it fades away. I think it is because I get excited, and that is the farthest I have gotten.

Then just this morning, I tried WBTB, went to bed at 12 am, got up at 6 am. I got up for about two minutes, then attempted WILDing. I tried the method of counting on the inhale, and seeing the number as well as the numbers next to it, then exhaling as thinking "I'm dreaming" while visualizing it. I had a lot of trouble not drifting off and thinking about other things for awhile, throughout though, my vision would get white, I'd get excited, and then it would go away. This happened two times. Then I counted to 200, and gave up. It was about a 30 minute attempt. Although I didn't LD, it was very relaxing, so I'm not complaining.

      Questions:

      1. How close was I on my initial WILD attempts without prior sleep?

      2. How close was I on my WBTB attempt?

      3. I have a fan that blows on my face while I sleep, and it was on while I was WILDing, could this hinder my ability to WILD?

To those who read the wall of text, thank you. And to those who will answer some or all my questions, thank you. I'm going to be very patient with WILDing, in hopes that I can eventually master WILDing. I think that it's hard to give up even trying to LD, because the thought of it is so interesting.
