      Dream recalling-complete failure

      hey everyone
They say dream recall is vital for lucid dreaming and that having a dream journal can help recall, but at the moment, i can not recall anything and therefore cant write it down, anyone know how i can get a basic dream recall back?

When i was younger (about 10) i could attain lucidity really easily, but i wouldn't know what to do so i would wake myself up

Um, well I've read when you first wake up, you should not move at all or at least keep it to a minimum. Then you should think back on what you were dreaming on and stare at one thing, preferably the ceiling. It also helps to retrace your dream steps...you remember everything from last to first from what I've heard. <3

It's supposed to help with dream recall and dream vividness. Hope I helped, brah! =]

sometimes later in the day, someone will say something or i will see something that will trigger a memory of the dream i had the previous night, but by that stage i am miles away from my dream journal

also had a hit and miss with a WILD this morning, my eyes started twitching really fast without opening, and i saw all sorts of lights, but then my eyes twitched to much and i opened them

      p.s thanks

In your case, I'd recommend one of those little memo note pads and keep a pencil on you in your pocket. =]

That's a good start then. You were near the success of lucid dreaming. Don't let any failure get you down.

"Light patterns. As you begin with your eyes closed, you may begin see light patterns behind your eyes. These might points of light that change and move around, or they might be more like curtains of light that float across your field of vision. Watch them passively as they float and evolve. Do not stare too intently; this will wreck your relaxation. If possible, just lie there quietly and pretend you are watching a movie about light patterns."

Maybe you were too focused on the lights. Try to relax more next time so it doesn't break you out of it.

If you need more information on how to WILD, here's a link to a tutorial by Seeker. http://www.dreamviews.com/f74/wild-f...ses-wild-9806/

      Does that help...a little? xD

with the WILD attempt i could feel blood been pumped around my body, my legs would go cool and then warm and then cool, my whole body tensed, as well as the rapid blinking, which then caused me to try and relax, at which point i failed, but it was more of an encouragement, it felt really strange, i hope to try again tonight, but when i am trying would should i think about?

i dont think the notepad would work for me (my pockets are filled with ipod, phone and wallet) and trying to write down something on a bus or during school is impossible for me
