was I lucid dreaming
it was hard to tell and I didnt actively do anything to encourage it
In my dream I was in work, at a desk and wondered how it was possible to have such a bad day and then I though one of the things on my desk I did yesterday. I then I noticed little things like it was in a desk that didnt match anything in the layout of my work. I then asked the person next to me if I was dreaming and they gave me a funny look. I then walked out the room into another room which now I think about it I have seen before in dreams but I dont know where or if it exists in the real world.
I entered another room there were afew noteworthy people from my old and new job and I said hello but didnt mention dreaming. I walked to the lifts and one set was filled with bin bags and the other lifts were weird like they were totally different and out of place. They were fixing in some new machines and I tried to use it to get out but it wouldnt let me. Suddenly I was in reception and there was the woman I see every night on my way home and I just walked with her as always.
What do you think was that it?
If I have done it once can I do it again?
Then my I woke up with my sister jumping on me :(

If you realized you were dreaming, you were lucid dreaming. It's as simple as that. It can happen any way, any where, and you don't have to have control over the dream. As long as you realized you were dreaming, you were lucid.

It's as simple as Moose says: as long as you realized you were dreaming, you were lucid. It doesn't matter if...
- You can't control the dream.
- You lose lucidity within a few seconds.
- The lucidity is only vague and you're not fully aware.
- The dream ends right after you become lucid.

Many people have a misunderstanding of what Lucid Dreaming is. Like Puffin and Moose said, "as long as you realized you were dreaming, you were lucid."
However, what almost all new people don't realize is that there are different levels of Lucidity, Awareness, and Consciousness.
Most people think that the meaning of Lucid means you will have 100% control of everything, you will be 100% conscious, and it will feel like waking life. This isnt always true. It is hard to make a like of whats Lucid and whats Non-Lucid, considering there are soooo many definitions, thoughts, and ideas..
I know the difference between them all, what's what, etc... But PERSONALLY, In MY terms of Lucidity, I say "If you arent 100% aware, conscious and have control, you arent lucid". I mean, what makes your dream any different from a high-level dream? Nothing really. But in "REAL" lucid dreams, nothing compares, and there is literally no limitation or question. ...but that's my personal outlook on it, not the forums/other peoples... and when I give advice to people, I do so based on the forums and the general population.
