Thread: Hello

After a few days of lurking, I finally decided to register to dreamviews. I'm really excited to learn more about lucid dreaming. I've had a couple random ones before when I kept a dream journal (2 years ago)but I'd like to have more and control them too.

I restarted the dream journal and the past 3 nights have involved either really awesome or bleak dreams. I had one of a mad scientist removing my brain and turning me into a zombie . And then last night my dream was just my roommate and I watching some animal planet show about cats. lol. Do your dreams vary in awesomeness too?

Hey, welcome! I joined recently too, and so far it's been a lot of fun learning more about dreams and keeping a dream journal.

And yeah my dreams vary in awesomeness, though they tend towards the mundane. My highlight dream of all time had me controlling every aspect of physics to the degree that I thought for years it had been lucid because I misunderstood the definition. More often than not, though, my dreams are just glimpses into my life if it were slightly better.

Phantomsignal did you fall asleep with Animal Planet on? haha

Welcome to DV I am new to the website too, if you are looking for a friend I'm always up for meeting new people. My dreams vary in awesomeness, length, and varies between different levels of crazy. I can't remember me ever having a normal dream when I was just in my house, without the floor caving in and people dressed as the unibomber chasing me around. Lately all of my dreams have has something to do with video games.

Maulrus, maybe your dreams can show you how you can make your life better? At least those dreams aren't too boring.

Brandon, no. But if I did that would make that dream a little more acceptable haha.

Thanks, Vegas. Those dreams sound crazy. I would really like my dreams to be consistently like that.

Possibly. I feel like it's my brain showing me things that I'm denying, like desires or feelings. It's easy to deny them when I'm thinking rationally, but when my brain literally look through my denial to reality it's pretty hard to ignore it. So it's probably for my benefit in the longterm.

Hey phantom I'd have to agree that some of my dreams are good but the dreams I got when I was little were insane. I had countless dreams that usually would occur if I did something wrong like lied or stole. I blamed the dreams on my conscience because in my dream, who ever was chasing me would tell me forboding shit like "You know what you did" and the main goal of these dreams were to just scare the shit out of me. But yeah never a dull moment in my head. Although I wish I could be lucid more often...
