      Hey guys n' Gals

Hi, I'm new here and have been practicing LD on my own for about 3 weeks (haven't had one yet but i have been VERY VERY close!) i decided to finally register after reading a few tutorials on here, and some tips.

I hope i will feel welcome here, and hope you are a good community!

      I have some questions:

      1. I have not kept a dream journal...... at all, i have always been a daydreamer and dreamer, and have a great memory, and can recall about 2 dreams a night and can still remember them for weeks after if i try, does this mean i still have to make a dream journal.. because i do this for fun, not to have MORE righting past schoolwork, which takes up enough of my life.

      2. Is it wierd that i have WILDed before i knew what WILDing was.... when i was younger... and up until i knew what LD even was i would go through the whole process without even knowing it, because i had a hard time turning my brain off while i slept, i never successfully became lucid though, i would get to transition freak out, and jolt awake and promptly fall asleep soon after (because i was relaxed and had no idea what happened haha)

      3. I tried WILDing "for real" as soon as i learned about it more, and i got to transition my first try, i felt like my body was being sucked through my chest... is that normal? also my eyes were doing really freaky things... it kinda creeped me out. But i kept going and kept calm, and everything was all black. I figured this must be my "dream eyes" i learned about so i slowly opened them slowly sat up, and tried the Hold your nose reality check.. and i couldn't breathe haha. I just went to bed after that because it was 4 a.m.

      4. Writing that last bit made me realize another question! Do you HAVE to fall asleep and wake up again before you can WILD???? because if you do... i wasnt WILDing at all... and it was all in my head even though i was in SP (or so i think)

5.(Oh god another one i know haha) i sleep with my dog, he is a black lab german shepherd mix, and i was WILDing.... every time i got to transition-ish he would get up... and like step on me and lay on top of me... he NEVER lays on top of me, only at my feet, do you think this is related to me trying to WILD at all? or just a freak accident that it happened 3 times... (i really wanted to wild) needless to say it jolted me out of my WILD.... a 130 lbs dog sitting on you XD.

      6. This probably should have been question one but: if I have never successfully completed a lucid dream on purpose is there any reason i wouldnt be able to WILD?

Thats all i can think of for now im sorry if this was soooo looong you didnt read it, in which case this apology is worthless also please excuse my grammar, i know its terrible its 2 a.m and i dont care about grammar.

Thanks for the answers and again sorry for the loong post

A DJ helps. It helps to not think of it as a chore. Most dreams don't take too long to write down.

A fair number of people do this. Perfectly normal.

Jittery eyes and odd sensations are standard. Nothing to worry about. Sounds like you were close. Congrats.

Yes, WILD is much more effective when coupled with WBTB. Trying to WILD without any sleep prior tends to yield poor results.

Kick him out of your room and try again.

Nope, but WILD tends to be...trickier than MILD or DILD. Some people have a natural knack for it, like yourself, but for others who are starting from scratch, it is generally recommended to try MILD, or at least DILD.

*cringe* Oh, no worries. None at all. *twitch*
