Sickness/Introduction

Well, I don't really like topics made only for introductions. I feel that, sometimes, they make topics that ask real questions hard to filter out. So if you don't want to hear me gab on about myself, skip to the next paragraph :D . Well then. I got my name the game Morrowind. I was stumped on what to call my self and somehow I thought of the necromancy tower in Morowind, Vos... just in case you were wondering :D, - I know you wernt. Anyway, the coloest I've been to a Lucid dream was a few months ago, Inwhich I was standing in the middle my room, and I was like "Hey, I'm dreaming" and it felt very real. Seconds later im in my bed with my eyes wide open and im like "damn, im awake" :). well, since I've started my dream journal, I've had several false awakeings (in fact 2 that I remember) in which I start typeing jibberish in my dream journal. Once I realized I was dreaming, had a false awaking, started to type in my dream journal, then wen't non-lucid again. The other time I had a false awaking, I felt that I was going to go lucid, but I wasn't (lucid that is). Then my mom woke me up, I was pretty mad. I sleep A LOT in the daytime, its not very often I make it trough the day without taking a nap, uassually around 5:00. These naps and when I'm sick (see next paragraph) seem to be when I have the most vivid dreams, and I have often typed full pages on the dreams that I have had during these times. Before I continue, I'll say im 16 yr old male and and from canada and *** """GET ON 'WITh IT"""""... Oh okey then :(

I want to know if anyone else experences this. I find that when im breathing the flu (not full on with the flu, unless I have a fever) it has some strange effects on my mind. I seem to get really meloncolly, its not that I can't be happy or anything, just everything seems really dull. My senses get effected, everthing smells and tastes funny. Above all though my mind seems to be so much clairer than uasuall. Like, things make much more sense to me. I think of great things to write about and stuff like that. It would seem that the Influenza virus somehow affects you brain...................................... So how does this all tie into dreaming, well when im sick my dreams get much more vivid, and I always wake in a cold sweet. I get to the point where im afraid to close my eyes becouse of all these weird feelings. Ever feel teakettle? :D ... well I have. I also felt strawberry once..

EDIT: Oh, don't mind the long ..................... I ment to do some reserch on which types of cells that the flu effects... I forgot... so I'll fill you in once im done...

*EDIT: Ok, after a quick look all I foud was "attacks many different cells, including red blood cells" . I'd say the reason it affects your mind is becouse of your bodys own defence mechinisms or something...

I never have had the flu and rarely get sick at all, but I know that when you take some weird pills that it can affect you. I remember when I had tooth surgery. It was crazy when I took pain medication. You get some weird experiences with the chemical reactions in your brain.

anyway , unfortunetly, "Monty Python And The Holy Grail" is the only Python movie I've seen :(
I wan't to see the others really bad though :D ive seen the Holy Grail like 20 times now.

Well, red blood cells carry oxygen to the brain so it's entirely possible that the flu has an effect on your mind as well as the rest of your body.

Well, I thougt of that, but a lack of oxygen making your mind clearer? I suppose, I was at the hospital last week becouse I started to hyperventalate and got really lightheaded :D .




There are Holy Grail books? What are they about? Well, besides the Holy Grail obvisly :D .

Well, I recently finished "The Quest for the Holy Grail" which is a medieval allegory. The main goal is the grail, but since the book was written by a (Cistercian) monk there is a huge emphasis on a person's spiritual life. There are the main characters, the knights, who go on adventures and often save the day or are themselves rescued. I personally liked the book quite a bit, even with the constant run-ins with hermits who would explain what was going on so that a blockhead couldn't miss the message being conveyed. It has an ending, though, that's not often used tho.

Ugh... I need a break from school. I'm talking too ejukatedd...

Btw, I'm writing a paper right now that includes this book.

it might be more related to body temperature. i know when i've either got a fever or too many blankets on my bed, i have vivid nightmares. waking up crying is not a good thing. now that i know about lucidity, it might be whole new ballgame though...
