New
I'm joining because I was once a very good dreamer, and as I get older I find my dreams are fading, and I don't want to quit dreaming. I've kept a dream journal off and on through the years, and have lucid, recurring, vivid, and controlled dreams. (without using any techniques)...many of the techniques here are new to me. I have problems with insomnia now, and I am sure that is a big reason my dreams are not as good. So, my first goal is to get the dreams coming again, and to remember them better. I know my recall is not as good as it was. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Hi Londongirl
Hi Londongirl.. welcome! I'm new to the group too only joining yesterday,
I'm interested in developing recall of my dreams too and like you have kept a dream journal for a long time. The first dream I recorded was in 1992 and have recorded them on and off since then. I find that I do some fantastically interesting things in my dreams so I want to be able to recall more detail and more of my dream sequences I must have. Currently I'm developing a routine where I remind my self as I go to sleep to remember what I was dreaming about when I wake and then record it in my dream journal. Before I go to sleep I just tell myself to remember. I've also got up in the middle of the night to record a dream as I know I'll have forgotten all about it in the morning.
Good luck with your own dream finding!

Hi highrik,
Thanks for your welcome. When I went out last night, I told myself I would remember my dream...and I pretty sure I had 2. One I couldn't remember, all I could come up with was a row of big boxes....so that one went bye bye I guess. The second one was like I was with some guy who seemed to be fragments of several friend guys I have in real life....and things seemed peaceful and nice, til when I looked at him and he had changed to a big dude with rotten teeth....and then I really wanted out of there, and the dream faded. But at least I dreamed and remembered....Yea!
I think awareness, like just being on this site, is a great help....
So, to you I say "welcome", too. I hope you and I both get alot out of this site, and I'll catch ya later on another dream!

Oh no... big dude with rotten teeth doesn't sound good! I had a dream last night where i couldn't breath which was really bad.. the good point though was that I was briefly lucid. I'm sure we'll get lots from this site and keep us enthusiastic and determined. Good luck with future dreams :)
