Hey Detail86! On behalf of the Dream Guide Team I'd like to welcome you to DV Let us know if there's ever anything we can do to help.
Good job on the dream recall. My personal theory is that for most people, dreams become less important and less of a priority when we get older, so we tend to forget them in favor of more pressing matters. However, when we make a concentrated effort to make them important, we become more likely to recall them. That's just my idea in a nutshell.
Well, I'm no WILD expert, so I can't say I've experienced that before, but it could just be that you just need to practice some more at it. It's obvious that you're headed in the right direction, and you're getting experience with the transition phase. You're getting to know what to expect, and it's likely that if you keep at it, you'll eventually begin to calm down. My own advice would be to try to enjoy the experience. It may be strange and bizzare or whatever, but remember that a dream awaits and the fact that this is an awesome experience! Don't try to change things, but rather let them happen. Try to take slow, even breaths, and focus on your breathing rather than your heartbeat. Again, it may take some practice, but I'm sure you'll figure it out.
Some people don't suggest WILD right away because it can be difficult, but if you're finding that it's working for you and you're seeing progress, then by all means go for it! Enjoy the ride!
Also, there is a WILD forum to post any and all WILD-related questions and perhaps read the experiences of others. Good luck!
