      Progress!

Alright!! So last night I went to bed motivated as ever on having a lucid dream. I slept through the whole night only to wake up once. When I did wake up I jumped out of bed, drank a tall cup of Apple Juice, washed my face and went to the bathroom. After doing so I went back to bed. When I awoke again in the morning I wrote down the most vivid dream i can remember in my dream journal. and then went back to bed again. This time, while in the dream world, I saw a bench growing vines and did an RC. After this I realized I was dreaming . I immediately got up and started walking around what appeared to be a carnival. People started to chase me for some reason so I attempted to summon a Plasma Pistol. This didn't work but when I aimed my hand they all stopped as if they had been hit. Then I saw a gorgeous women and tried to kiss her. In the process I got excited and woke up. This entire thing was VERY VERY blurry. After my first (semi?) lucid experience I have some more questions.

-Are lucid dreams often Incredibly blurry? I read somewhere that I need to rub my hands and demand Lucidity, which I tried, to no avail.
-Ive only had my journal for 2 weeks and ive only been doing RCs consistently for 3 days, was this a random LD or due to my effort?
-Did this have anything to do with the fact I had already slept the night and that it was morning?
-Whenever you get excited do you wake up? If so how do I calm down?

I am extremely happy about this and it has really inspired me to stay motivated. Even though it was incredibly short I'm determined to have longer, clearer, more exciting LDs.

      All the best

*they should become clearer as you learn to focus and stabilize your perception during LDs

-Ive only had my journal for 2 weeks and ive only been doing RCs consistently for 3 days, was this a random LD or due to my effort?

*clearly appears to be due to your efforts, you set up the ideal circumstances by waking up for a short time, writing down a vivid dream, taking a bathroom break, etc ( it's also ideal to have rested for some time, for me 6 hrs is good ). since you became lucid from doing a RC, this is another clear indicator your efforts are the source of becoming lucid, the more you ingrain this the more likely you will be to practice it during dreaming

-Did this have anything to do with the fact I had already slept the night and that it was morning?

      * our REM periods get longer as we near morning, and for me my dream recall is better towards morning. generally i wake up after 6 hrs or so, take a bathroom break, then lay back down for another hour or two with the intention of getting lucid ( or continuing a lucid if i've already started that night )

-Whenever you get excited do you wake up? If so how do I calm down?

      * for me as i had more lucid dreams i would be mindful that if i became too excited, i would upset the dream and wake myself up, most lucid dreamers learn to moderate their emotions and excitement having this in mind
