This is what I am hoping for, I do want to be successful in life and earn a fair bit of money in order to retire fairly young and live a peaceful life. okay for heavy sleeper I am doing something different. I am only using the major arcana cards with and only 6 card celtic cross spread. card 1: (The fool) It seems you have a lot of choices for careers to choose from. you have at least a couple things in mind that could make you happy. Use your intuition to choose it! even if it seems a bit crazy! Card 2: (Temperance) This card is advising for you to not choose your carreer just yet, as in the first card there seems to be a variety. so take time in choosing your career, with a bit of patience you'll be sure to pick the right one! Card 3: (The sun) Keeping in line with the previous two cards... this card says you will surely be able to pick the right career. Maybe something in music or science? (honestly that's just what the book says...) or something along those lines. in any case it feels like you will be pursuing your dream career if you follow the advice of the second card. Card 4: (The star reversed) This card is saying you should pay close attention to what is going on around you. There are signs from the universe trying to help you and you are overlooking them. Maybe a friend had a good suggestion that you discarded maybe? I dunno. Haha, the fool! Yeah, that's me alright. I obviously can't account for the accuracy of the future predictions, but the descriptions of my current situation seem roughly spot on. I am having trouble figuring out which career I would like to go into and I'm definitely just going to have to put some time and thought into it. There's no other choice, really. As for the signs from the universe, I haven't noticed anything. But I will keep an eye out and maybe listen more carefully to others' advice. It would be interesting if something did come along to point me in the right direction. And the point about being discouraged from what I want is quite accurate too. A few people have told me not to bother going in search of a dream career that I might never get, and instead just settle for a job that will give me a steady income. But my view on this has always been the same. I'm not going to work away most of my life in a job that makes me miserable. Thanks for that.

Just out of curiousity, since tarot cards are something I have never had any close experience.. how do you "train" in them? You have some kind of description what each card symbolizes in a book? Or do you just shape your premotions and feelings from yourself as you see the card and you practice to feel them?

well since I am just starting. I try my best to just see what story is told in the cards. I try best to just use my intuition of what they tell me. If I get stuck then yes I consult the book to see if the card can be put into context with the others. so I'm basically just practicing one spread over and over again until I develop my feeling of the cards further. It's almost like learning the alphabet of a language so to speak. it starts off with strange symbols. but the more you practice the more it makes sense. I am mainly using the celtic cross because it's fun. it can tell you a simple story or it can be as complicated as a Shakespeare play.

I'm reading Jung's work on Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious, and apparently the Tarot is a good representation of the archetypes - as are symbols in Alchemy nd several other ancient systems that predated science.
