A few weeks ago, my friend started talking about telekinesis. I couldn't help but to laugh. I basically called bullshit on it and told him it is impossible. Yesterday, out of interest, I started researching it. I have since been convinced of its existence. I've learned that it takes meditation to mentally prepare, so I think it will tie in nicely with my lucid dreaming. Has any one else here tried their hand at telekinesis? Have you had any results? Any tips ?
Why do you think it exists?
It'd be very easily to experimentally verify, but it hasn't been.
I figured that people wouldn't waste their time doing something that is impossible. There are many websites about learning telekinesis where people talk about their experiences and whatnot.Quote:

But I doubt A lifetime of believing that Telekinesis is impossible will be changed in a month, you'll probably have to practice much longer. I've thought about it before, and most likely the first thing you will be able to manipulate Telekinetically is water, because of how much of us is made up by it.
Actually, it works, and learnable. I tried to learn it, but stopped, and started again a few days ago. It's possible, but real hard, you need to focus to it really, but you can surely read it at websites how to do it. It is said that after doing it for a year, with every day 10-15 minutes you'll be able to move a pen... Well, I recommend starting with reak small things like an airsoft bullet, that's small enough and round. :) It's all about patience, I'm doing it in school on some lessons that doesn't count.
If you've actually moved a pen resting on a solid surface with no exposure to air currents, I suggest you write to an educational establishment, demonstrate your powers in a controlled environment, and become world famous. Failing that, at least upload a video to YouTube.

A basic rigorous test would involve him trying to move an object which he can't influence physically (so he would have to stay still, and not be able to blow it). You tell him to move it in a certain direction during a certain time period (and not at any other time). If the pen does move, and in a large majority of the time it's in the direction you told him and at the time you told him, you have positive evidence. If he can't manage this, he's talking bollocks.
Honestly, challenge him. I would. It'd be fun either way it turns out.

I found a man on YouTube named Darryl Sloan. If you're skeptical,which many of you are, and by all means should be,watch his "Telekinesis: a two year investigation" playlist. He performs telekinesis in a very controlled, experimental way. He also addresses telekinesis in a candid and honest way from a simple point of view, making no attempt to explain it. Please watch it; it might change your mind.
This is as legitimate as it gets.:P

If you want to find out if telekinesis is possible, and you don't feel like learning it yourself, you'll have to find someone who claims they can move qi, set up a pinwheel and watch them rotate it. But you won't because like it's been said on this thread already, you'd rather just write it off and not bother to investigate. Because you're not actually a skeptic at all. You're a sophist.

Dude I don't know why there's no massive psi wheel study (at least that I can find) and I'd love to help you out and put one together but I'm not exactly in a position to do so. @Xei: Sorry, I didn't know you had tried. Maybe you could try again. I've tried and succeeded. Before I started trying telekinesis, I made it clear to myself that I wanted to spin the wheel counter clockwise. When the wheel does spin, it spins counter clockwise probably 80% of the time.
To those people that know who they are: I don't appreciate rudeness; it's bumming me out. I'm just trying something new-- that's all. And it seems to be working btw. Be open-minded:).

Telekinesis is like dreams. Hard, and you won't be successful at the first times. And so far no one managed to record that they are aware of their dreams and we still know lucid dreaming exists. Same with telekinesis. However there are fake vids indeed, not all of them are, and because you tried and did not succeed... of course you didn't, it takes really long time, and even if you manage to do it, nothing will make sure that you'll be able to do it again in front of a camera.

Besides, the thing is the fakes often look much better than the authentic ones because it's easier to fake a video than actually learn to manipulate qi. If they use a convector the psi wheel begins spinning immediately and consistently. If they use a switch you'll see it switching directions easily and again, moving immediately and consistently. The real ones involve a long period of time to get the wheel going and just as much time to get it to change directions, not to mention people doing it authentically tend to keep their fingers much closer to the wheel and use their hands because it's much easier to do when you send a hand signal. All sorts of excuses can be made for why they made them move.
So it comes down to the same question, you're claiming that an unwillingness to post evidence is strong evidence that it's BS, but then you already admitted you wouldn't believe the type of evidence you're asking for. So all I have to say... the fuck do you want?
You're putting words in my mouth. I never said I wouldn't believe a video, I was saying that a video doesn't exactly qualify as credible evidence; however, it's better than nothing. Not to mention the OP (not you, the actual original poster) said he'd post a video if he got it to work, and he still hasn't. Given the subject has been brought back up to him more than once to post the video, the only logical reason I can see for avoiding doing so is because he can't actually do it under controlled conditions.
Perhaps. He just started so I doubt he's very close to getting it consistent enough to post a video. He also may accidentally be using the convect method and, like many believers, he may have mistaken this for the genuine article. I believe the folded piece of paper version of the psi wheel was purposely conceived for the purpose of fooling people because it's so susceptible to movement based on the heat change that occurs when you place your hands close to them. The difference comes into place if you can get it to stop and change directions without moving your hands.
Someone mentioned Darryl Sloan and he gives a pretty good look at methods of faking telekinesis. I recommend watching the video I link to as well as the 2 following it because it identifies just how easy it is to fake a video.

The potential goes well beyond telekinesis. Moving on, you're making quite a few assumptions on how telekinesis works. You're claiming it's undetectable simply because people do not know how to detect it. You also seem to imply if telekinesis does exist it's a recent evolution in humanity even though qi as a concept has existed for thousands of years.
Frankly, I understand your opinion. You don't have evidence, yourself, of anything, so you have no reason to believe in anything. I'll admit, though, I take issue with your sophist attitude regarding reality. But that's something you will have to change with experience, and I can't simply convince you that reality is more complex than what you currently think it is. What you think of reality is of no concern to me, as you've already revealed that your intention is not to mutually share ideas but rather be right about everything. Why don't the people presenting this challenge attempt to find a tai chi master like the one I've described? I've met one personally, and have heard rumor of several other masters of various arts who were capable of the same phenomenon. The friend who originally showed me he could rotate psi wheels (though he didn't use a psi wheel, he used a straw tied to a string and hanging from the ceiling, parallel to the floor) was trained, along with several other students, by his own master. Another friend of mine, a sturdy 6'3" individual, reported first hand his experience of being thrown across the room by a little old man who did not physically possess the strength to do so. That's real qi manipulation, right there. It seems like a paranormal investigation team would not have a difficult time finding and testing one of these people, but as long as they just issue a challenge they can save themselves that sort of work and still pretend they're right.

I once tried to do these kind of things myself, and one day I sat and looked at my door and thought "Open!" and I see the door open up!
I was home alone, no wind passing by, and it was perfectly timed. However this started to repeat itself without me even looking at the door.

Yeah, I've seen that video. It explains one very common way the phenomenon is faked. If you'll noticed, I posted a video which shows several other ways it can be faked.
Succeeding at making a fake does not prove a lack of authenticity. It only proves that videos cannot serve as evidence. We've already discussed this thoroughly.

Presuming that it is not worth the time doesn't cut it for large companies who would be willing to pay millions for a real life adaptation of telekinesis. I have dabbled in Telekinesis in my past. It isn't as wacky as it sounds. It is possible for the same reasons tai chi and similar practices are possible. Tai Chi is the practice of channeling your bodies energy to specific parts of your body, whether it be heat, electricity, etc. When projected from your hands you can use it to interact with objects. Hence people who can light up light bulbs with there hands or people who can melt cups wither there hands. The gun itself merely governs accuracy, the ease of aiming, and the ability to repeatedly fire again and again. Of course bullet types count, but you can't say that a pistol is more dangerous than a sniper rifle or assault rifle... the bigger the gun, usually the bigger the bullet, and the stronger it's power, so yes, it would be harder to protect yourself with the energy against an assault rifle/shotgun/sniper rifle than a smaller firearm like an usual pistol.Quote:
