      Lucid dream FILD help?

      So yesterday I tried Fild. I woke up 4hrs later and then I was up for like 10 minutes or so, and I rinsed my,face with,water. Then I tried FILD as soon as I got to sleep but with no luck. I tried it twice and the RC I used was the finger pinching nose one and I did turn and toss around. I ended up falling sleep without Mild. So what are some tips,to improve my FILD attempts?

      try it more often?! most of this things dont work on the first night. you need to learn how it works for you... do some experiments with it. find your own tweak.

      you can DEILD with FILD. when you wake up after a dream (after 6h? so that you are close to the next REM) you can FILD and land in the next dream. so no wbtb here.

      when you do it with a wbtb: you need to learn to notice your falling asleep. when you start getting nonsense thoughts and are right before falling asleep THEN you start FILD. it makes no sense to do it right from the beginning. and you should not concentrate on it. you dont think about it you dont think about your wish for a lucid dream. you just lay down do micro movement or even nearly just imagine the movement and fall normaly asleep.

      experiment with your wbtb timing. you shouldnt be to awake to lay around long time awake but you need to be awake enough to not fall sleep unconsciously the moment your head hit the pillow. maybe a short walk to the toilet is already enough. find it out for you.


      in short: Experiment more! everyone is different and needs to know himself and find his own way of doing stuff like this

      I tried it today and I think the luck was better. I woke up 4 hrs after sleep and when I tried FILD with my eyes closed, I saw flashing purple lights and could feel my room becoming lighter. I did an RC after that and then I woke up after. I'm not sure what this means
