When I'm in bed trying to sleep, most of the time, I slip into a state where I feel awake, yet at the same time, I'm dreaming, like my body is awake, but my mind isn't. I know what's happening in the dream, but I can't see it, and I'm half-aware of outside influences, like the fan.

Usually when this happens, the "half-dream," as I refer to them as, involves walking or falling, and I snap back to full awareness when either I hit the ground (falling) or I either trip or get hit by a car (walking). They always end when there is some kind of impact.

This happens almost every night, is there any way I can, persay, take advantage of it and reach lucidity and eventually dream control?
