Desire to Just Sleep = No LDs?

When I was young I didn't want to go to sleep early, and I liked to get up early to watch cartoons or play. If I tried to LD back then I might have become pretty good at it. Now that I'm an adult, I quite like going unconscious, I like to sleep in, and LDs occur whenever pigs fly. As I think of LDs today while falling asleep I just feel like going to sleep instead of being conscious and doing stuff as though I'm awake. Do you think our willingness to be conscious at night influences our LD frequency?

I think you're right. Most of the time, recently, I'm so exhausted (mentally) that all I want to do is sleep -- and as a result (I presume) I haven't had as many lucids, and even my dream recall has gotten worse.
