gene?
today morning ive talk to my mum that i hav these kind of dreams(lucid).
and my mum said that she always has lucid dreams since she was 11!
she told me that she has LD all the time since then... including last night. she is natural.
im just wondering if this thing passes on to generations??? :)

As to whether LDing is passed on biologically, so far there's no scientific proof and I personally doubt that that's the case. There are plenty of people here who come from families where their parents know nothing about LDing and they become lucid on their own. That's awesome, though, that your mom is a natural! At least she can understand what you're trying to accomplish.

I don't doubt its on genetics, though there is no proof. For example, both my parents have natural lucids like once a month, but I just couldn't get lucid on dreams and had to try for some years before actually achieving it.

I can't recall my parents ever telling me they've become lucid even after I've talked to them about ME becoming lucid
My brother's the lucky one. He always knows he's dreaming, but doesn't choose to engage in it

I actually just found out that my dad has been lucid dreaming for as long as he can remember. He's never heard of lucid dreaming but when I started talking to him about it he said he has dreams like that all the time! Unfortunately I have never had a lucid dream and it's taking me a while, but I'm getting close. I don't think it has anything to do with genetics. I mean LD dreaming means next to nothing in the scheme of survival of the fittest and therefore is not a necessary trait to pass.
