Reality Check: the Beard

Hey all,

It's my first post here (did some lurking before), so first: hello! A couple of weeks ago I had some sort of lucid experience while I was growing my beard out. During that period I developed the habit of CONSTANTLY playing with it - which I also started doing in my dreams at a certain point. The only difference was that in my dreams I didn't feel any hair on my face, which made me look in mirrors and do other stuff that lead me to the conclusion that I must be dreaming. Did some of you ever experience this too?

I had a similar experience with my hair. I was growing it out and recently saw an awesome hairstyle on somebody I wanted to try out. In my dream I had absolutely, *absolutely* awesome hair. Unfortunately I was so busy admiring it I didn't bother to think I was dreaming.:cheeky:

Ive done this before after i got a very different haircut(long got cut to medium length, like above my eyes) and i bored into my head that if i have long hair, i am dreaming. I got a lucid out of it before i got used to having short hair.

Basically anything on your body that changes gives a chance of being used as a dream sign if your mind is not used to the change yet, ie: haircut, tattoos, your beard, etc

Interesting RC there.

My facial hair changes so often and grows so quickly this might not work for me, but I'll look out for it anyway!

Shave it off, try and grab a beard, and if you can you are asleep. :P

I can see this working. :) It's kind of like a physical RC version of the old school/childhood home dream sign a lot of members I know have. Of course, your beard variation probably wouldn't work for most of us girls. XD

Whatever works! I guess it is similar to counting your fingers, or looking in a mirror. Noticing something out of place with your body.
