Thread: So I almost had a Lucid Dream a school.

So yesterday at school, I had just finished an outline in my 6th period Business Law class. I was really bored and tired so I decided to just lay my head down on my desk and take a little snooze.

I guess since I was so tired I was seeing hypnagogic hallucinations pretty early, so I would just watch them every now and again and once or twice I would doze off but be woken right back up because I would either jerk violently or there would be a loud student beside me.

So anyways, I start to doze off again and the coolest thing about happened. It felt like my eyelids were slowly being forced open to where I was barely seeing the paper on my desk. Instead of trying to force my eyes closed or open I just let it be because I thought it was a bit strange.

Then I see my hand being brought up to my face and I was holding a revolver! I didn't have control of my hand however, it was like watching a movie. Now I realized this wasn't real and yet, unlike the hypnagogic hallucinations, it didn't disappear as soon as I realized that. I was observing the revolver, watching the chamber spin on its own and trying to feel the handle and "enter" the dream when It faded out and I woke up.

I thought it was so cool that I unintentionally WILDed at school that I just wanted to share that experience with you all and I was wondering, Has anyone else fell asleep at school or on the job and had a lucid experience?

Well my friend that was amazing I mean i slept several times at school but I've never had a lucid experience during a lesson .

I have LD in class before but it was only for a moment. I was in a rather boring biology class and decided to take a nap, the teacher was cool with e napping because I had a 99 in her class and didn't usually interupt the class. Well this time was different I WILDed into an LD as I had been sleep deprived for about 56 hours at that point. In my LD I am talking to a friend about sex. A classmate made a loud noise and I woke up but was still processing my LD so I started talking IRL like really loud and about sex...it was extremely awkward. Since then I avoid LD in class dont feel like waking up before I expect to and making a fool of myself again.

Yeah dude it was quite a shocker for me lol. I would never had expected slipping into a dream in such a noisy environment. If I ever do it again then I'll try to contain myself long enough to actually walk around.

Ha ha. That must have been really embarrassing. At least you didn't loudly pass gas lol. This might not be too helpful but maybe if you ever find yourself in a LD at school then you could try using telepathy so that way your not thinking about moving your mouth when you wake. But I guess if you're rudely awakened then you can't help it lol.

LOL that sucks man that must have been really embarrassing. I'll remember not to talk about anything if I ever try LDing in class.

I fancy the thought, but I'm scared of doing something stupid, or snoring, or missing something important. It would be the perfect time to LD though lol

One time I had a short lucid in a hospital waiting room. I was waiting on a friend (had been there a couple hours already) and began to doze off. I felt SP and it lasted only a few moments before I opened my eyes. I was in the same waiting room. The only difference...the room was now filled with some odd characters who weren't there before. I performed a RC and realized I was dreaming. I awoke before really doing anything significant.

Haha, that would be awesome to have an LD in class instead of listening to boring teachers.

I fell asleep at school, But i always had some jerkey motion from my dream wake me up.

That would be awesome to have a LD in a hospital. It always sucks being in the waiting room for hours. Although if you thought a loved one was in serious trouble then the stress of that might cause an unstable LD anyways.

Dude, I have those all the time. Its kinda embarrassing when everyone is quietly taking a test and then you jump as if you've been shocked lol.

robbing a place. There was a dispute over the cut of the money, and one girl threw a punch at the other. I went to grab her fist and block the punch, but in real life, my right hand (which was under my left hand, which was under my head) shot straight out and I fell out of the desk.

I don't think I'll ever experience this, since I'll probably never fall asleep at college. XD Good to hear you had a cool LD during class!

Sometimes it is really hard for me to get relaxed in the desks, even to do my work, but I was really tired at that point so I probably could have gotten to sleep on a rock. Plus after sitting in a desk for 6 hours my ass was kinda numb lol.

Thanks! I've never been in a collage before but I would say the teachers would be a lot more strict about falling asleep.

Thanks! I've never been in a collage before but I would say the teachers would be a lot more strict about falling asleep.

It's the opposite actually. They are less strict in college.

Oh, I didn't know that. If I was teaching a class and saw a guy snoozing I would be a little angry with him. But I guess if I was getting paid a lot and the guy fails then it wouldn't be my fault and I really wouldn't care.

Really? I always thought it depended on the teacher. I don't go to college, though, so... -shrug- I've heard they're less strict about showing up.
