      What are you talking about?
This music is hallucinogenic or what?

Seriously, I once read that someone practices going into a trance by listening to Trance music and focusing on one of the parts (ie the beat). I like the idea but Ive never tried it.

This music makes me just close my eyes, float on the wave of consciousness and it opens my third eye, without the use of drugs!!!!!

This is pure sublime, its meditation while surfing the great wave, you should download a song by lemon Jelly, they are pure genius. Its like a mellow trance induced by the relaxation and rhythms. When I listen to this music it opens my mind towards things like lucidity, like operating on a different wave (that beta, delta stuff I’m not sure (which, but its that area when your confused about being asleep or awake-hypnotic images etc) There is a great track called Elementsand the Ramblin' Man....

      psychedelic heaven

http://www.contactmusic.com/new/home.nsf/w...njellyx15x01x03 has a video "Ducks Swimming in Water". (not good quality its music that calls out for headphones and cd quality).

the offical lemon jelly site is down at the moment.

Right on, I only know a few of those bands (and only a few songs from each on top of that). The ones I've heard though are awesome - zero 7, thievery coporation, telepopmusic. I'll be sure to check more out from that list of yours.

      Cheers,
      Dylan

Cool discussion. I'll definitely give the music a try.

I listen to a bit of psychadelic rock music it is a remarkably powerful tool at achieving a state of mind that is conducive with lucid dreaming - I mostly listen to Tool and Pink Floyd at the moment. Tool achieve this dream-like quality by using very obscure time signatures, and cross-rhythms. While you listen to it, close your eyes and relax. Breathe regularly and just feel the music. Let it flow through your mind. You'll probably get the hypnagogic (not sure about spelling) imagery appearing and then the fun happens.

My favourite tracks for this are:

      Tool - Third Eye
      Tool - Lateralus
      Tool - The Patient
      Pink Floyd - Dogs
      Pink Floyd - Pigs
Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon album
      Led Zeppelin - No Quarter
      Beatles - Across The Universe

Cheers for these songs! im a huge Floyd fan their music is excellent, Darkside of the Moon is a masterpiece of music, its great closing your eyes and taking you into your own private place to ponder on your imagination! deep stuff that album. Tool are amazing, love their industrial sound, like NiN.

Glad someone enjoyed the "Ducks" song, Lemon Jelly are great! Does anyone agree that the video is like a Lucid Dream? The guys falls asleep on the bench......?

Don't know that it's a dream, and if so I doubt lucid, but it was great fun.

Morcheeba and Lamb we play at work a lot. I dunno about Lamb--on the one hand, it sounds really great, but then if you listen to the lyrics, it's a bunch of saccharine schoolgirl romance.

With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

I'm quite sorry, all of you are wrong, well, not entirely right.

Radiohead's music is the absolute ultimate music for anything and everything.
.......Then I think of my youth and of my first love-when the longing of desire was strong. Now I long only for my first longing. What is youth? A dream. What is love? The substance of a dream.

      I have noticed your absence.
As photo readind and the www.themindaccelerator.com site both sound obviously advantagious, it seems rather costly to me.

Oh and the sight for directly getting to imusic was
http://www.imusicseries.com/ for all the lazy people.

You could simply buy the photoreading book at the bookstore or download the pdf off of some p2p software if you want to cheat.

I use music to get me in the right frame of mind before I attempt to WILD.

Lemon Jelly are great (haven't seen the vid) but they have too many hooks for the state I need.

Try "Boards of Canada" as they use loops from childhood that make your mind turn to pre school mush (just right for WILD) http://www.music70.com/

My newset tip is Travis Hartnett http://www.travishartnett.com/music.html you can download 12 full tracks at that address, amazing guitar work, trances me out no end.

http://lucidquest.com/dwnld.html all free downloads of hemisync music another brain drooler.

      Have fun
