If you were religious then you might believe it was a small miracle or something making you pay extra attention to that passage and how it relates to your life. |

If I go to sleep and the television or radio is on, I will sometimes dream about what is playing. For example: In one dream, I was at church while the pastor was preaching a particular passage from the bible. When I woke up, there was a tv evangelist show airing that was speaking on the same verses in my dream. Is this normal? What do you call it? |

It's normal. I call it "A dream which was affected by waking life surroundings." |

This has happened to me before, usually when I fall asleep with a movie on. Sometimes, if I have a song stuck in my head, I'll hear it in my dream, also. Anyway, the first thing I thought of when I read this comic was this old Calvin and Hobbes strip. |

In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
The first time I noticed this happening to me was when I took a nap while listening to The Notorious BIG on my computer. I dreamt I was at a party with biggies music playing in the background. It's funny because in the dream I knew I was dreaming and mentioned to a DC that the music was probably playing because I had fallen asleep to it. I did not go lucid and was pretty angry with myself when I woke up. I have since used music to induce lucidity. I used to fall asleep to Andy mckee's music and could recognize in the dream that I am hearing it because I fell asleep listening to it. The drawback however is that I could not get the music to stop playing after I became lucid and it really reminded me that I was laying in bed with music playing and made dream control difficult. |

It's happened to me on many an occasion before. Mostly when i wasn't even trying. When I was younger, I used to sleep with my radio tuned to Christian music. It helped me sleep. Later on, earlier in the morning, a preacher would come on the radio station, and I would dream that I was listening to his sermon in a Church, or that it was someone talking to me. |

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
