Second LD Ever, and a Small Problem

LD-wise, this week has been pretty kickass. I had my first lucid ever on Tuesday, and last night I had my second.

In my LD last night, I appeared in my bed, but my dream clarity was so terrible that I couldn't see anything. I remembered BillyBob's thread on passive control, so I reached over to grab my glasses. I popped them on, and I could immediately see everything. But instead of having clear, realistic sight, it was like looking at the world through a filter. I couldn't perceive depth; no matter where I went, all I could see was a 2-D image bent around me.

Considering that I always wind up in my bed when I LD, I figured it might be worthwhile to seek some help with this, in case I need to improve clarity with whatever crap I can scrounge up from around my room.

Smell your bed sheets, feel the texture of some furniture, take a bite out of anything you can get your mouth around, listen for the sounds of the night, and focus your sights on the objects in your environment, one at a time if necessary. Really take in as much sensory information as you can. The more you immerse yourself in the dream, the clearer it will become.

I haven't learned how to fix this problem, but I would try; when you pop on those glasses, expect everything to be in 3D. Don't just let the dream decide for you (unless you want to). It's your dream, you take control over it.

Agreed. Becoming quite involved in a dream makes it more vivid.
