      Controlling HI?

Well... This happened about a week ago, and I've neglected to post a thread on dreamviews. Let me start by saying i've never wilded, and I've only gotten CLOSE to SP through wilding.

As I fell asleep, I felt like my arm was uncomfortable. I didn't want to move it for some reason, so I imagined it was comfortable as it could be, and it was. I started to suspect what was going on, so I imagined myself having a stomach ache and I did. I imagined it was gone and it disapeered. I imagined I heard whispering and I did. Is it common to have control over HI?
And now.. for a Stephen Strutmeyer Film...

I have control over HI quite often. It's almost like daydreaming, only much more vivid. The most recent time, I was apparently married to this guy with a fear of women. (I was NOT in a dream; I wasn't even in SP, and I still had control over my physical body.) I decided to try to help him overcome this fear, and I continued to imagine this scenario until I eventually drifted off to sleep.

My dad has had control over his HI as well. I remember him telling me about seeing himself floating on a raft in the ocean, and being able to control where he drifted. (And he assured me that it was not a dream; he could see/feel it in his mind's eye, but his body was still awake.)

I experienced this just 3 days ago!
I woke up in the middle of the night, and had trouble going back to sleep because my dad was snoring (we were staying in a cabbin for new years and were sleeping in the same room). So I laid completely motionless and cleared my mind, but his snoring kept me awake. I hit SP and could hear a relaxing sound to my right, and feel dragged towards it if I focused on it. I was afraid I would have a scary HI, so I imagined my friend belly dancing (she's REALLY good at it) and it kept me somewhat relaxed, however I couldn't transition it into a lucid dream =/

I don't know if it is common, but I have done it many times before. Sometimes I have a song stuck in my head and as I get closer to SP I am able to make the song louder and clearer.
