Thread: Question about Dream Recall?

Hey guys, I just woke up. I recorded two dreams since I've fallen asleep. The strange thing about it is...

...Every dream I record starts with the most recent event first. This is the freshest in my memory. So I record the most recent event in my dreams, and that allows me to remember what happened previously. And then that event allows me to remember what happened previously etc.

Is this normal? Why do I remember things backwards? Does anyone else recall things like this or is it just me? Also, is there anyone out there that can recall their dreams from the first part to the last part in chronological order?

(I'm assuming that "normal" people can record their dreams in chronological order, from first event to last even because that's what I know I can do during waking hours - When I try to recall events that happened during the day, I start from the beginning and work my way to the present. But in dreams it's different)

This is why I prefer keeping my dream journal on a computer. I always recall from recent to oldest. In my physical journal, if I want to relate my dreams like a story, I have to have the dream fully recalled in my head first, or just write point forms, otherwise I have to draw arrows all over the page... =/
