My RC wenr all wrong! I can't believe I missed that!

I was having a dream in which someone had broken into my house, and my dad was ill...It was a nightmare. It was much worse than it really sounds, but whatever.
I did a RC, thinking that this is all too weird to be real life. I plugged my nose, and I could breathe.
But, for some oddly, strange, stupid reason, I THOUGHT I was holding my nose wrong. Which I wasn't! I plugged my nose again, and breathed in. I COULDN'T breathe. The second time it didn't work, or something!
And after the failing RC's, I even collapsed to the ground, yelling:
"Why can't this be a dream?? Please, God! Make me be dreaming!"
I don't know what was running through my mind,
But I missed a perfectly good chance. >:[
