      W Hotels are amazing

I was in new orleans this last week, crazy shit, good memories, but one of the best was when me and my friends discovered one of the sweetest hotels i've ever seen after a drunken walk. The music that was played from speakers on the street got our attention, then i saw a light display that said "dance through your dreams" and i was like ok, i gotta check this place out now....

I walked to the entrance and a doorman pressed a button that automatically opened two large doors that led into a room with a bright red bed with different colored lights shining onto a disco ball reflecting everywhere, two curtains blocked the entrance to the front desk. I walked in and just was totally absorbed by the place. I felt like it was designed specifically just for me with the intention of giving me amazing dreams, there was always this chill, ambient music playing, scented candles everywhere, dark colors of red and blue that seemed so dreamlike, totally amazing. There were beds everywhere, by the pool, the lobby, the halls...There was a courtyard with strobe lighting and disco balls everywhere making it feel like stars where fliying in all directions, there was this amzing fountain, a statue with beautiful tiles behind it, i just wish i could describe it better, the website is cool, but its nothing like actually being there, only thing is im sure its probably extremely expensive and i could never afford it, but we snuck into the pool on the roof and chilled there till the morning anyways...

Just curious if anyone has every been to any of there locations, it just seems like a hotel designed for lucid dreamers.

if i remember correctly W is more for the business traveler. i think it's under the hilton umbrella. -been out of the travel industry for several years now.

they seem pretty nice. at least the one in waikiki was when i saw it. but i don't remember it looking like the W you just described... ;-)

haven't had the chance to stay in one yet.

i usually end up staying in more middle of road, or closer to low end places w/less than ideal locations. my rule is, if the roaches don't steal my shit, i'll be ok.

i'd rather spend my money clubbing, and having a good time, or even pimping a nicer rental car than accomodations.

if i could stay in a tent, i would! :) hehehe...
