Thread: Lucid FA chain, WTH???!!!

Wow, interesting. It's kinda like in the film "Waking life".

you should add 1 to your LD count because if I'm not mistaken, that was all within the one REM cycle, so if you add them all up, it is a longer dream that you think.

Also, can you think of any reason why that may have happened? Like, did you get really really exited once you realised it was a dream?

From reading Walms' DJ, this happens to him all the time. Why did it suck? Sounds cool to me!

Where the FA's consecutive? If so, I can see why it sucked, any dream plot would be cut. If not, I don't see why it sucked apart from being short... you could have lenghtened them if not for being annoyed <.<

And yeah, this happens to me a lot, daily, just not consecutive.

Well, i found it boring because it was a lot of short LDs consecutive with no content at all. Just me waking up and going to the bathroom. Then i would realize i was dreaming and RC with the number of fingers. After a few FA they became really repetitive.

I have no idea why this happened. I never had anything like this before, apart from some ocasional FA but with no lucidity involved in it. In this case i was lucid in almost every FA.

Yeah, it makes sense to me to add it like 1 LD now. Should i had this to what LD technique? I was trying a WILD but in my opinion what i experienced had nothing to do with it as i failed my attempt. I just realized i was dreaming suddenly in the dream. Then i RC to confirm my doubt.

So what exactly did you do to get so many FAs?

Do you practice RC a lot? If yes what type of RC?

FAs are just happenings, doing RCs a lot will not change the course of future dreams. But what it WILL do is help you become lucid when an FA does arise.

And Junknown, i would maybe put it as DILD, not sure though. But I see people put "FA" as another heading.

Well, i don't find anything strange that could have made me have this ammount of consecutive FA. I had some tea on the last days (i don't usually do it) but i don't think it has anything to do with it.

I don't like doing RCs a lot during the day so i just use them as LD aids by allowing me to know i'm dreaming. Usually i just MILD and in the middle of a dream i realize i must be dreaming and then i RC with the "count the number of fingers on my hands" and the "try to pass your finger through your palm". Lately i have been WILDing instead to try to get better in this technique.

I think i'll count it as a DILD indeed. Don't find another category to put it on and i don't want to count FAs separately as this wasn't just a FA but a FA with lucidity associated.

Hope i don't get this anymore as it isn't an interesting LD to have, lol.

well, when people put FA in their lucid count, they would be refering to an LD they got through an FA. So, that wouldn't matter. But you can just do what you want.

I know that. But I am just saying that some people like to let people know that it was through an FA.

FA chains are not uncommon, I have had many LD's in which I later had 5-10 lucid FA's. Still, it all counts as 1 LD.

Haha that sounds awesome, I've only had 2 FAs in my life that I know about, but I still do RCs every time I wake up just incase. I really want to have an FA, they're such a cheater way to get lucid >.<
