      3 am apathy

      ok ive been trying to do wbtb for a few days now and ever time im goin to bed i tell myself, "im gonna do a wbtb" and set a few alarms. then at 3-4 am, i wake up, say fuck it, and go back to sleep. i kick myself when i wake up. any tips to make sure i stay awake? besides drinking a lot of water which im gonna try tonight. thanks in advance

      The only thing that i can think of is to make yourself sit up right when you wake up. If you are sitting up right then i am sure it will be easier.

      Also, just have dedication. If you REALLY want the lucid dream, then you will do anything for it.

      And if all else fails, set an alarm that scares you so that when you wake up your heart races and you cant go back to sleep immediately.

      ok i will try sitting up when i wbtb, if that doesnt work then ill try drinking water, as drinking water will mess up my dream recall. thanks!

      put your alarm on the other side of the room so that you need to actually get up to turn it off!

      Ha ha. Simple. Brilliant. Effective.

      Why not have two? Have one by the bed that goes off fifteen minutes before the one across the room. Then you can try for a DEILD or FILD in that fifteen minutes.

      Haha, I have the same problem! It's so weird. For me, it's never a conscious thought; I never remember myself actually thinking 'I don't care', but I always seem to grab the alarm, then without thinking go right back to sleep.
