      LD Pets?

I came up with an idea, what if we could have pets in our LDs and everytime we visit a different LD, they age just like you.

I'm gonna experiment with this a little.

Tell me your thoughts on this.

There is no problem if you know how to create objects in LD.

But more interesting if it's not plain your imagined pet but the real dead pet...

It'll be like one of those gigapet pocket-monsters that you used to have as a kid, except it won't excrete everywhere and die like the real ones did!

I like this idea very much. I'm going to make myself an LD kitten.

one of the ways i almost get a LD is when my dog walks into the room..she died in november 2008. When she walks in i look at her and say "Wait, she died, how can she be here..." then i get distracted by something else and forget bout the dead dog who looks alive and fine =p

My cat is my little lucid sign, she comes in my dreams so much. She has helped me get lucid nearly every time I've become lucid, it's great. Once I do gain lucidity I almost always summon my dog and my cat seems to always dissappear lol.

Cool thing to try, unless you are like me and abandon them XD

Any chance of BECOMING a pet, as in Lisa Simpson becoming Snowball in the Sensory Dep. Tank? See "Make room for Lisa"

While I was away, I thought of using LD pets as a sort of dream sign. You know they don't exist because they're fictional (this would be more believable with a fantasy pet like a dragon of some sort).

If your subconscious got used to having that creature in dreams and it might insert the pet in a lot of your non-lucid dreams, you could become lucid from seeing the creature you know doesn't exist!

Maybe a new variation of the DILD method?

You would already need a high frequency of LDs for this to even have a chance of working. Don't get me wrong, the idea of an LD pet is pretty sweet, but I don't believe it could be easily used for something like that.

Regardless, a pet Raptor or Zombie sounds awesome. Yay for new goals!

Yes, I realize you would need a whole bunch of LDs to get your subconsious used to the fact that your pet is going to be in your dreams but it would be worth it if every dream you had, you noticed that your fantasy pet is there and you figure out your dreaming.

This is similar to the meditation thing.. If I am correct, its called a Power Animal? Its when you find an animal deep in your thoughts, correct me if I'm wrong.

      I'd love a pet penguin.

You could treat the "pet" you get as a dream guide, and give it the ability of speech. That way, perhaps you can see it again and again whenever you call on your dream guide. (Your dream guide would be the pet)

I'd just like to have a pet in LDs because I've never really had a pet in real life. So I'd just have them to look cute, besides, I think I've already found my dream guide... I think I possibly have two dream guides... O_O
