      will lucid dreams help me??

i want an honest answer..i have been having horrible nightmares for a very long time and i want to know if lucid dreams will stop them. for me,when i am dreaming,i always think it is reality and not a dream. i died in my dream last night and i was sitting in a moving bus full of dead people who were telling me that this is what the afterlife is and all throughout the dream,i actually thought that i was indeed dead..it was scary as hell! also,i keep getting recurring nightmares where i am at a hospital that has a big cargo elevator and i see dead bodies being wheeled in and out of it...another one is me driving on the freeway at a very high speed and seeing horrible accidents with bodies dismembered. in real life,i am very scared of seeing a car accident, although i don't drive..and i am scared of hospitals..but i want someone to tell me if a lucid dream can stop these horrible nightmares?? thanks!

Lucid dreaming will most definitely help you out with those nightmares! When you become lucid you can just turned the dream around to your liking I'm not much of a long post writer with a lot of information, but I'm sure another member will come here and give you a good answer.

Yes, it will. You've probably read the tutorials and etc. PM me if you need help. Recurring nightmares are a curse and a blessing. You suffer the same dream again and again, but now that you're thinking about lucid dreaming it should make your nightmares that much easier to put an end to.

I think lucid dreaming would be a great way for you to control your nightmares. I don't think just lucid dreaming alone is enough to turn it around, you need to reinforce your efforts with other things like keeping a dream journal. the nightmares are probably dominating your dreams, right? you need to realize you have dreams too, so recording them will always help. Something else you need to know, its that it isn't easy turning nightmares around, and it will take practice. if you keep at it, I guarantee you will get results.

      I hope this makes sense
      good luck
