For nightmares, I dunno. If I watch scary shit I get them pretty easily... Could try things like having people jump out at you, leaving things you're afraid/phobic of around, pictures of things that are freaky, maybe some sort of challenge where, if you fail, something scary happens? Like you have to solve a puzzle and if not you play something freaky? Might get your mind into problem-solving gear and make you dream about it at night. This would be a fairly personal thing, depends on what you're really and truly terrified of. Photoshop dead pictures of your loved ones. Worrying about them always gives me nightmares 
As far as FAs... surround your room with things related to LDing? Posters about LDing, clocks, writing, objects that make you think of LDing? That one is a toughie for me, because I never ever have FAs anyway I've remembered like four in my entire life. There's the traditional rc-whenever-you-wakeup. Could also try just laying down in bed whenever you first walk into your room and then RC and pretend you just woke up and found yourself in an FA. I tried that once and I got two FAs that both made me lucid.
