Frighted to have an LD...

I'm planning on doing the finger-induced lucid dream tonight, and I've been lurking about for the past 5 hours reading, and it seems that lucid dreams can be just as real as real life. When everyone is asleep, I sometimes think of scary things in my room, even though it's childish. I'm scared that when I have my first planned LD it will be just like real life in my room, except with the potential for very frightening people to be there (undead etc.), and I was wondering if there's any way to cope with this.
I'd rather not go into my first experience unprepared!

I have the same problem however I sleep over at friends house often with more than 2 people in same room I am writing this on my phone as I type =] So maybe sleepover someones house. Lucid Dreaming is a calming cool experience that shouldn't be something to be afraid of. I had 2 lucid dreams before and although it felt very real YOU could change whatever you want. Just don't be like me when you have a nightmare and know your dreaming and try to wake yourself up (Just change dream to make it not scary!)

Thanks, I hope that it really is easy to make things not scary. I feel like I'm far too worked up, so I'm going to go to bed soon, while my parents are still awake in their room, so that I can feel more secure, as opposed to going to bed at 1 A.M. like I normally do.
This lucid dreaming is like a whole new world that I missed out on for my whole life until yesterday :shock:

That is also what I do. Go to bed before the last person in your house to feel more secure. But really it is a delightful experience to do w/e you want in a dream. If you do have sex in your dream (which I usually do) your lucid dreams are cut short (atleast for me) and end when you "finish up" and you either wake up or your dream ends while you still sleep. That's just me but I read other people waking up after doing the same thing.

Being a teenage boy, when I had my first clear lucid dream 2 days ago, I immediately considered sex, and JUST as me and 2 women were about to get better aquainted, I thought "What if I do something in real life because of this" and then I kind of fazed out of the dream, to my incredible disappointment (I had almost lost my virginity in a sense :P )
I immediately googled "knowing that you're in a dream" and came here, in pursuit of future endeavors :D

I'm not a pervert, but who would pass up the opportunity? (The dream was going in that direction, and I just followed one of the characters)

I have to admit, in my first LD I ran to my crush's house to... you know. Unfortunately, I was attacked by a zombie version of my best friend with a chainsaw... I had better luck the second time.
I often think before I have dream sex with someone "Oh crap, what if this isn't a dream at all!" Then I usually lose lucidity or wake up. And I also wake up when I finish, though I've read some people's posts that say they don't, and some have hundreds of (dream) orgasms in a single dream. I guess all it takes is practice.

There's nothing to be scared of, remember, you are in control. It is YOUR dream.

I don't even remember being afraid in my dreams, normal or LD after I started to LD. :) you might fee a bit spooky first but I think curiosity will overcome your possible fear :P

If you are having a LD and find yourself in a frightening situation, just control yourself to act in such a way to conquer the frightening aspect. A simpler route would be to try dream spinning (literally, spinning one's body around in the dream), focusing on a new location while spinning. The idea is that when you stop spinning, you will find yourself in the new unfrightening situation. As far as the sex aspect goes, you're not a pervert at all. There is increased blood flow to the genitals during dream sequences, so sexual dream content is very common.

Well last night I couldn't fall asleep, but tonight I'm going to bed pretty late and I'm setting my alarm and stuff, going to try FILD.

I'm confused. When you're lucid, the world belongs to you. You make the rules. Knowing this, couldn't one do away with needing the illusion of external stimulus to achieve climax? Could you not pull an orgasm pill from your pocket, take it, and enjoy the ride for as long as you want??

I was just worried about what a non-DILD experience would be like, but I'm pretty well-assure that it's nothing to fear now, as I had some wrong impressions.
Have you ever taken an "orgasm pill" in your dream?

I'm not meaning to sound like an asshole, but if you were having a lucid dream and could have realistic dream sex with anyone you wanted, why the hell would you choose an orgasm pill?

Intimacy issues. Some may like the feeling of climaxing but not like physical interaction with someone else.

If you are afraid of WILDing into your room, you could always stick to DILD.

One thing you might want to try before bed every night is turning off the lights, sitting in your room, relaxing, and then imagining that it's a dream and you just became lucid. What's the first thing you do? Control your fear, practice focusing on your exciting goals and ignoring all the thoughts of scary thing.

Hi SDG,
In a lucid dream, you are in control. If a zombie jumps out of the closet, pull out a samurai sword and slice him in half. If a werewolf jumps out, pull out a gun with silver bullets and shoot him. If someone you dislike jumps out, turn him/her into a puppy.

You can take this mindset with you into your waking life too. If you go to bed and start thinking about scary things in your room, imagine a monster jumping out and then imagine you destroying it in any way you are comfortable with. Feel the confidence and know that nothing can hurt you, either in your dream or while awake, because they aren´t real.

As for the orgam pills, I see no reason why it shouldn´t work. You can just snap your fingers and get an instant orgasm, as long as you believe in it. I prefer the old fashioned way though. I´m not having dream sex just for the orgasms, I can have as many as I like in real life. What I can´t do in real life is hooking up with Beyonce or some other hot celebrity.

i used to have lots of dreams and bad thoughts before bed :O ..but the thing is not to worry because when u become lucid just dont worry...if there is a guy trying to attack u laugh it off and bust the fool up :D

i had 1 like 2weeks ago and there were about 6men in my house attacking me...and i went to a teqnuiqe i used when younger which was any bad dreams icould close my eyes and i would wake up in seconds..

anyway i still tend to think this now.. but instead before i do close my eyes ( in my dream by the way) i just think hey !!! why wake up...then i ran towards the attackers and before i knew it they wer all out cold lol

so i went from it being nightime in my house getting attacked...to beating my attackers..i then ran threw the front door it felt pretty cool to even do that...then it was a lovely sunny day and there was a very sexy girl walking towards me..i went and started to talk to her and though hmm shall i ??

but thought ahh no i can have sex when im a wake ( maybe the girl wont be as hot lmao ) but then decided to fly about for a bit .... anyway dont be worried about them at all

its how i first ever became lucid is from a nightmare !!
