A little over two years now. Most of my lucids aren't nearly that long, though. Mostly they are anywhere around 5-15 minutes. (And the one that seemed like it lasted hours could not possibly have been that long in reality, but that's what it seemed like in the dream.)

This is interesting. . . When I have lucid dreams (And I've only had three or four good ones), they also seem to only last about 5-10 minutes long. I always thought that was very small amount of time in comparison. . .was I wrong? <.>

as i first heard about lucid dreaming i thought that you are lucid 2-3 hours / night but it seems that 10 minutes are already long...

No, REM cycles don't even last that long. It's possible to have a dream that seems like it lasts hours, but really it's much shorter. Originally Posted by shokomann

i thought i read something in Stephans book about tibetian monks that said that people who dont LD just have a half Life because they are missing the whole night when sleeping...so i thought LD last longer ^^

I had one when I was really young, about saving Santa and Christmas. That lasted a whole two hours (well, felt like a whole two hours).

Current Mission: Don't freak out when SP occurs.
