      Frederick van Eeden

This is just some info I thought many of you would find interesting.
This was the first info I came across in regards to Lucid Dreaming.
This guy, Van Eeden, as many of you may already know, is sort of
the father of modern lucid dream research - the coiner of the term
"lucid dream" and a major inspiration for LaBerge and his team.

This next one is a book, the only book, he wrote called, "Bride of Dreams".
Not a scientific study, but a work of fiction based on his experience and
research and stuff. It's sort of a tough read, but admittedly so:

      Have fun!
Just a friendly reminder to do a reality check. : ) Are you dreaming? How do you know?

Been here for two days and my explorer bookmarks are already in need of being organized again.

So he states near the top of his study that it's only a preliminary effort, something to keep people tided over till he completes a much more extensive study in future years... I'm guessing from the time line that this fellow probably isn't with us anymore, so did that become the extent of his work? Or is there more history to him than meets the eye...

I'm just reading it all now, it's a lot to try and take in and post an educated response on just yet. But I'm just a post whore, being new and all, and it's the only way I can have more opportunities to post pictures of that banana dude.

      more?

Well, friend, that's all the info I've come across on him. Other than basic
Biography type stuff. I believe he passed on in the 1920's or 30's sometime.
I could be wrong on that, but that's what I seem to remember. Ah yes,
I just looked it up and his bio says 1860-1932. He was not regarded highly
in the scientific community and thus became known historically more as a
poet/novelist/essayist. That last link is the "more developed" work he was
referring to. It came out more as a novel than a scientific study because no
one in the scientific community at the time would accept his first work. In fact,
no one even believed he actually had lucid dreams. schmucks. haha. LaBerge
sure proved them wrong, huh? And yet many in the scientific realm today still
don't regard LaBerge's work as proof that lucid dreams actually exist. I think
      they're just jealous.
If they'd had these types of dreams, I'm sure they'd jump on the bandwagon in
and instant and be at least as happy as this guy:
