Interesting you should bring this up. It is one of the ways I know I am in a lucid dream. I've been kind of rough on my body for the last 40 or so years. Nothing bad wrong, just accumulated injuries and stuff wearing out. Here are a few of them: |

Now that I actually think about it, I don't really experience any of my normal aches and pains during my dreams. My sense of feel is usually quite dull in dreams, which could be a part of it, but the pain is certainly not noticeable. Running high-school cross-country for the past 4 years, combined with mountainbiking, has been very hard on my knees and ankles (I'm too young for this!), so there's almost always some amount of discomfort. Sounds like a good dreamsign to me. Might as well take our disadvantages and find some good side to them! |

Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.

i don't know. i had a couple fingers severed last april... they've since grown back (or they were reattached... i can't remember) and when i try to gain some control in LDs by sticking a finger through a hand my hands look perfectly normal... no scars... no crooked fingers... nothing. i think your dreams reflect the mental projection of yourself... for so long my hands were 'normal' and that's how i see them in dreams... therefore it's not so weird when i see my hands as being normal... |
