Okay heres the deal Im visiting my Moms house during the Thanksgiving Holidays. So the next Morning I awake still trying to refocuse on my waking world. As I get up walk out of the bedroom and on my way to the restroom I hear the toliet flush. So im thinking okay my little sister must be in there. Moments later the door open and My Dog walks out of the bathroon stops in front of me and looks at me with this expression like What the Hell are you looking at? I look back at him and think in my mind Impossible. See My dog doesn't know how to flush a toliet. Then it hit me Awww YEAH! BABY im High Level Lucid. So I strut! my stuff pass my Mothers room and she has this expression like what is he so happy about. Im like Mom Check this out! Thinking in my Mind Yeah Baby time to Walk through some walls So I take off--- full speed and BAAAMMM!!! I hit the wall head first. My Mother just cracked up Laughing at me. Come to find out later that my little sister was obessed with Bruce Almighty the Movie and taught my Dog Nanook how to flush toliets. Man did I feel Dumb. So the moral of the story is Make sure to at least pinch yourself sometimes just to make sure your back in the waking world. |

These are the tears that I dream about...
oh man, your story is nothing compared to mine... i thought i was lucid dreaming, but i was certainly not... i did a lot of bad bad bad things. but i wont waste my time and yours telling the story, unless you really want me to |

All I know is that i don't know nothing.
Aphius, |
Shadow, before you arrived here, there has been chat about pain in dreams and pinching yourself...there was one that paperdoll posted in the OFF TOPIC, but anyway...alot of people feel the pain in the dream world...i do to an extent. |
I think feeling pain in the dream world is perfectly normal, I mean shadow i tought you where a natural eversince you where a kid? Then im sure you have felt pain? Mabey you just dont remember. I feel pain all the time, i get in fights with "things" and you get tired, you feel pain just like in the normal world and its most certainly not fun to fight against something hostile..it hurts |

I cannot remember pain in a LD, but in a regular dream, its normal for me to feel as Lucius said, tired, hurt, etc. |
Yeah, I've felt pain a few times in dreams and I haven't had many lucid dreams yet (although my dreams are becoming amazingly vivid lately). Like Lucius said, I think it's pretty common, I'm surprised you've never felt pain in a dream |

shadow, you are a regular n00b. |
Ignorant bliss is an oxymoron; but so is miserable truth.
Too bad pinching yourself doesn't induce lucidity. |
ok, you wanna hear my story? its not a lucid mishap, its more of a drug mishap... i simply thought i was lucid. ill make a new thread about it. |
All I know is that i don't know nothing.
Now thats amazing you all. You mean to tell me Im the only one in the Forum who doesn't feel pain in a dream? I can feel things of course but Pain is non-exsistant to me. ummmmm. Very Interesting. If I ever felt pain I know I would never forget that but its never happened. I've been shot before in a dream and it tickled. |

Aphius, |

Ive felt Pain in a dream, but its an odd pain, unique to my dreams that only happens when its sumthing big like being shot or stabbed. I cant explain it very well but when it happens i know im dreaming, but the bad thing is when ever i feel that pain the dream ends. |
I think I have a somewhat grasp on the reason for this. For instance in my LD's I take it for what it is. And to me its just my mind visually submitting imagery of the world I see before me. I don't feel like its real or even close to being real. considering the fact that none of it really exsist to me or is non-real to me then I guess thats the reason why pain doesn't exsist. I hear of people dying in dreams, falling from high places hitting the ground. And they react to it in the same fashion as they would if they were in the waking world. I do know that if you think its what it is then your mind will manifest that for what it is. I just refuse to fall in that category. |
but pain is a part of the sensory input just like the visual, auditory and olfactory. |

you dont feel pain in your dreams? strange |
All I know is that i don't know nothing.
Seri, |
Yes, then thats probally because you refuse to accept it as real. I dont really see any other reasons either. |

I don't see a reason to except it as real when its not. Doesn't make sense to me. |
Shadow Im not saying your not a natural if you dont feel pain, Im saying if you've been doing it for so long you must have felt pain SOMETIME, but I gues that is not the case. I suppose your lucky on one hand, still not so lucky as you refuse to accept that it is real I gues. But mabey thats also luck, dont know yet hehe |
