      Hello, I have a question!

I'm completely new here, and sorry if this is posted in the wrong place, but I'm having a little trouble finding my way around as I don't know the exact terminology and cannot exactly navigate the forum because I don't know what it is that I'm trying to say. Phew!

But what I would like to ask is this:

See, when I dream, a majority of the time I know I am dreaming and that it's not real. But what I'm having a problem with is that I can't get myself to wake from the dream. It's like I'm frozen there as the dream continues.

Now, I would like to use that as an opportunity to continue my dreams the way that I want them to happen through dream control I suppose. But how do I get to that part? I mean, if I'm frozen in the dream, can I still move forward onto dream control?

I'm at lost for what I should do, and I wish to have some advice from anyone willing to give it. Thank you!

So you're frozen frozen, as in you can't move at all? Or you're just stuck in the dream and you can't wake yourself up?

I remember someone else have a problem with a frozen dream they were in, but I don't remember how they got him moving again. I'll leave someone else to answer this one for you.

Sorry I couldn't be of help

This sounds like a mind over imaginary matter kind of thing. When you're in a dream, try to remember that nothing around you is real- not even that 'physical' body you're finding frozen. It's not a real body, not hardly- it's just your 'dream' body. But in a dream, the dreamer isn't limited to one body, or to a body at all. On top of that, there are no rules, no reasons for your body to be frozen. It's your own mental hangup. In a dream, you're actually in a limitless realm where things like gravity and metal chains do not exist, do not apply. Next time this happens just tell yourself, "This is my dream, I can do whatever I want. Nothing around me is real, so there's no reason for me to not do what I want to do!" and then confidently attempt to move I personally find such a mindset very important for having good dream control.

Also, this ought to help you out

It would be the latter. I'm stuck in the dream, not able to wake myself up. The dream just continues to happen, and I keep partaking in the dream, moving around and switching POV's sometimes, but I cannot get myself to wake up.

Since I couldn't wake up, I wanted to use that to control my dream in a way. I'm afraid if I start getting in the habbit of waking myself up from those dreams, that I wouldn't be able to stay lucid long enough to begin dream control. I'vetold myself many times that it's a dream that I can wake up, but when I do, I'm still able to no nothing, either my body is too exhausted to wake up, or my mind really doesn't want to wake from the dream.
