When the next time you see them they are upset that you never called, i would assume then that they are real people.
But, honestly - if they are real people do you think they'd realize they weren't just dreaming? And if they weren't people you'd normal have sex with, i'd imagine they'd try to resist or they'd hesitate about doing it.
