Nope, it kept bothering me too. At least it's better than "Who is your ream Guide?"

I haven't been lucid in so long, it's not even funny. But, I suppose on the off-chance that I finally do achieve a LD in the near future, that'll be my next quest...the quest for the DG. Hope he's awesome.

So what do Dream Guides actually do? What makes them different?
is it an actual occurance in lucid dreaming or just hogwash like OBEs and stuff?

I believe there is no difference between a "dream guide" and a regular DC.

After a few indepth dreams and 1 Lucid Dream, I think my pet cat, who happens to show up in the majority of my dreams is my DG. I even had a conversation with him in one of my dreams Lol.

I haven't been interested in pursuing lucid dreaming until recently, so I haven't found my DG yet, but I almost know how I want him to look and act.

Ahahahaha I haven't found mine yet, but stalking this forum, reading different experiences with dream guides, kinda gives me a thought - I guess my DG will be a mixture of everyone else's dream guide XD I have the tendency to mix things up in my head ;D This could bring out a creepy DG!!

I honestly can't say that I have a Dream Guide, aka a character that recurs throughout my dreams.

But on a somewhat related note. When I used to take dissociative/hallucinogenic drugs, I had a recurring character in many of my "visions", or day-dreams.

She is a very authoritative woman, dressed in a golden colored, fine silk robe. Long, deep black hair, slender build, and about 5'8" tall.

I could not understand anything she ever said to me, but I know/felt that when she spoke to me, she'd be ordering me to stop doing something.

I've spoken with a few of my friends who have had similar visions about a finely garbed entity--in their own dreams and visions--whom they could not fully understand--but could deeply feel the meaning of their words.

I think I met my DG last night. It was an enormous Grizzly Bear. I'm not sure what his name is yet, but he has a horribly booming voice, can run really fucking fast, and scared the shit out of me.

      Imposters! D:

I've tried to call my DG many times, with "success," but I get a different person with a different name each time! x_x
None of them were all to bright, yet all 5 claimed to be my DG.... And after each dream ended, I never saw any of them ever again....

4 of these 5 imposters were guys, but I pretty much know that my DG is going to be a girl. Not for sexual reasons, but girls have always just seemed to be smarter and more logical, and most of the time even all-around better people than us guys. xP Or at least they are in my experience. In fact, now that I think about it, almost every good friend I've had in my dreams (They don't exist IRL) has been a girl... Odd.
What if I told you that I am dreaming right now?
That your whole life is a lie?
That the laws of physics as you know them are incorrect?

Furthermore, what would you do if I told you I'm going to wake up as soon as you finish reading my signature?

Wow. You and I have had some very different experiences with women then, bud. That's all I'm gonna say about that.

A couple nights ago I think I saw my DG. I've had about one lucid a week since I joined and suddenly, during my last lucid, this women appeared by my bed, she was wearing a long trendy yellowish beige trench coat with big brown buttons down the middle, she had a short brunette "posh" hair cut and was very pretty and very tall. I asked her if she was my DG and she only smiled knowingly, she also said "I'm here now, I'm here now"..... I guess I'll call for my DG next lucid and then I'll see

It seems like a lot of the DGs on here seem to be tall, authoritive, attractive figures, hmmmmm Maybe there's a big colony of dreamguides somewhere

I believe I saw my dream guide in a hallucination while trying to have a WILD last night. He was clad in long, dark violet robes with a dark hood shadowing his face riding a jet black horse. He had the most beautiful blue eyes I had ever seen. I have no idea if this was my Dream Guide or just a conjured image, but this is how I always imagined my Dream Guide.

      Lol

That's cool, I never thought of the possibility that a Dream Guide might be something other than human.
