The most important tip is to be patient! If you're trying to hard, and you're not making any progress, hold off for a little while. The paradox is that, sometimes you can try too hard, and your anticipation of not wanting to fail is what makes you fail. And on the other hand, sometimes you can try and try and try, fail, stop trying, and then BOOM you get a spontaneous lucid just by giving it a rest. |

when i wake up and have LD on my mind when i fall alseep, i havent really tryed it. Usialy my mind loves to drift into other things like Dragons/harry potter lol. It never ever stays on the same thing longer then 2 min. |

What have you been trying? Dream journal? Dream signs? Reality checking (if so, how?)? Training your memory for MILD? Any aids? Figured out your REM cycles? |

take a 2 weeks break. :/. Thats how I got my first LD, just dont worry about getting one |

LD's: 18Listen to This Will Destroy You
Oneironaut is 100% correct. I remember with me, I had been going at it for a little over a year with no luck whatsoever. I finally gave up, and that very night I had a lucid dream. Sometimes you just need to relax and give it a break, even if you don't get a lucid dream as a result, you will be refreshed and ready to start again! |

Impressive, Paragon, that was a lovely speech/rant. |

Concentrate on recall and maintain a dream journal. |
|
Lucid Dreams:-
MILD/DILD: 79
WILD: 13
DEILD:13
(TOTAL: 108)
Just don't let your break turn permanent. Leave your dream journal somewhere obvious, so you will be tempted to read through it and remember all the fun possibilities. |

DreamingDragon, I know how you feel.I haven't had an LD for quite some time and I never developed any great skill for it. However, I have continued to enjoy the non-lucid dreams that I have and occasionally I am able to exert influence if not control my dreams. It doesn't happen very often, but flying in a non-LD is almost as good as flying in an LD. Enjoy your non-lucids, but keep working towards lucidity. All the advice has been good so far and when you finish with your break, I wish you speedy success |
