      Self-Injuring in LDs

Have you people ever damaged your dream body somehow? Like, have you shot youself, ran under a train, or something?
Personally, I´ve hurt myself many times. Usually, when I fail to fly and fall on the ground, it hurts. But it doesn´t damage me. One of my goals is to destroy my dream body, and see what happens.

      What are your experiences?

In one LD I tried to bite through my right index finger. It felt like it broke in my mouth (without pain), but it didn't feel like I bit through it. I woke up before I could take it out and look at it.

I got an idea for you. Jump off a building onto spikes. Know that it hurts. Oh boy will that hurt.

I got shot in the neck in a dream, non-lucid, and all I did was start the dream all over again.

I actually sometimes panic and try to avoid pain. I know it's not real, and that I won't wake up damaged, but that's besides the point... I don't want to experience the pain and instead of calmly getting rid of the threat I panic and run.

Once this was happening and to escape my sister who was holding a knife, I tried to fly through a screened patio and bounced off the screen and smashed into the cement. That hurt quite a bit.

I wonder if people who have a problem with self-harming could do it in their dreams instead of real life and experience the same effect without having to actually harm themselves, until they get some therapy.

Is it bad if that made me laugh my ass off?

Not at all, I laugh every time I remember it Unfortunately, so does my sister There are so many little things I tell her about how I trick myself into good dream control and she rips me a new one for

      Shift...

Are you the one that wrote the window cleaner commercial were the birds are laughing at the man for running into the patio door?

Pay more attention to these dreams. You may have a live feed for a budding career in advertising.

I wish. It'd be refreshing to make millions without having to do any work!

I personally love to swan dive off of tall things -- trees, buildings, hot air balloons, it all is great! Once you try it you might like it better than flying -- I do!

I've summoned wild animals to eat me to death (just kicked me into another dream scene), purposefully been run over (I just found myself standing next to the road instantly), and I can't remember what else right now!

Yes, one of my dream signs is self infliction. A very unpleasant thing to be reminded of because I had a past history of it. (It's over now)

I regularly walk into moving traffic in lucid dreams, just to see what happens. I've jumped off buildings, cliffs, into pits of spikes, all to see what happens. Usually I'm not really hurt. I think I've made myself invincible in lucids.

I've stepped in front of a bus once, but it abruptly stopped. I've also jumped off a raised highway, but I ended up just hovering above the ground. I guess my subconscious is against letting me hurt myself.

The only pain I feel is an aching pain, if I lose a part of my body I don't really feel anything, it's only when I alter myself in a way that I shouldn't look that I feel the pain. I always feel pleasure though, and realllllly intense pleasure at that, better than waking life lol.

Be careful. If you die in a lucid dream you die in real life.
