      Feel only dreams?

Last night I tried to WILD, but pulled back for whatever reason as soon as the dream started. I tried it again and made the same mistake.
The last time I got it into my head to dream spin as soon as the dream started.
The result was that the dream didnīt start and I got "stuck" into something resambling a sleep paralysis.
However, I was still feeling things, although it was "dark" under my eyes so to speak (maybe some occasional flashes of something, but mainly darkness).
After a while I realised I could control what I felt, and it was amazingly vivid! I did a tumbling motion that was really fun. Felt like my brain was being tickled, you know, like when yo ride a rollercoster?

So in short, a dream with no vision but rather controlling what the body feels.
Anyone tried or have had experience with this kind of thing?

I'm quite often blind the 1st minute in a WILD. I'm in a lucid dream, but no vision; but I can walk, feel the walls and grab the door handle and know where my body is in the room. Then dream vision progressively appear.

I don't have hypnagogic imagery either, the WILD transition is just feeling my body being rocked by big waves.
      Dec. 2006 - July 2007:
      92 DILDs + 30 WILDs ; 75% too short, 24% decent, ~3 of 2 to 5 minutes
      (I stopped counting after that)

I've had these before. Next time it happens, try to think up an excuse for why you can't see anything. Like, maybe there is a blindfold over your eyes. Reach your dream hand over to knock it back, and allow your sight to return or something along those lines, and you should get vision as well

Same here, at the start of a WILD I can feel everything. Also in those ''in-between-REM'' moments, my sense of touch is still there. Just try to concentrate on what you're touching or relax and wait. I see it as some sort of loading screen. Visualizing helps, have patience.

So many of our problems persist because we see them in only one way and keep beating our head against the same wall

Thank you everyone for the replies.
I didnīt mean to say this was a problem, because I have achieved lucididty some times before.
I merely wanted to ask if anyone had done something like it. I thought the feel only dream was pretty fun in its own right, is all.

I've had a couple instances of dream where this happens. I just hold on to whatever I'm feeling, and hope the vision returns. (Or I force it to return).

I had a dream somewhat similar however I couldn't control my feelings I only felt the one I was given, and I knew what feeling it was regardless of me never feeling it as it was one of my best friends emotions. It was their feeling of intense sadness, and it felt so real I could feel the burning sensation in my chest and the choking back tears, but I didn't know what I was sad for.

This was actually the dream that I cherish above all others, because for just a moment I got to feel someone else, I actually got to experience what it was like to be another person.

But enough of my dream, that is pretty amazing. You know, if you were able to control your emotions and not see images... JUST EMOTIONS... That is pretty much a superpower. Perhaps dreams are in place to keep us dreaming in real life, or to make us more likely to set goals and standards for ourselves, to look forward to accomplishing a single great task in our lives. But just feelings, you could feel absolutely anything you wanted... You could feel them pure, pure emotion. No back thoughts of why, just pure... Emotion.

      How beautiful.

I had a lucid dream once where everything was black but I was a pilot involved in a dogfight. I was pulling all kinds of maneuvers and ended up spiraling downward like I was shot down. Even though I couldn't see anything it was intensely exhilarating.

this also happens to me, I always think it's just that the wild isn't working though, lol. Maybe next time I'll try to keep going with it.

Wow, what are the odds, another WolfDreamer.

I've actually been having this problem too, in a way. My LDs last very short durations and then fade to black before I find myself awake with my eyes closed.
So I cant really give you any advice in that matter but when it comes to questions about WILDing, I'm fairly experienced so dont hesitate to ask any questions concerning WILDs Wolf.
